WHAT A JACKASS
[quote="goneaway"]YOU BOUGHT A PENTIUM 2.0GHZ!?!? YOU'RE FRICKIN STUPID....ITS CALLED AMD, GET A BRAIN. YOU COULDA GOTTEN A 2200 PLUS FOR HALF THE FUCKIN PRICE OF THAT 2.0 PENTIUM AND YOU WOULDA GOTTEN BETTER PERFORMANCE...I DONT ENVY YOU, I PITY YOU. BYE.
pay no attention to the idiot..there one in every crowd..and around here we got more then our share...going with the p4 aint a bad idea..the amd might be a little cheaper...but its not as stable as what you have...besides..anyone who knows what there talkin about will tell you you couldnt tell the difference between the 2 anyway...there both at the top of there game...you could debate that till the cows come home but in the end it comes down to personal prefference..CONGRATULATIONS...i hope you enjoy yours as much as i do mine...BUTCHER |
dude, seriously now....pentiums may have BIG NUMBERS but face it, they aint got shit for performance. now, dont get me wrong, i know pentium has put out DECENT shit...but come on, AMD is obviously the way to go. i think you need to stop watching gateway commercials on t.v. and gettin brainwashed. its so sad to see guys like you go down the drain going to a 400 dollar p 4. an AMD 2200+ could so easily whoop on a 2.0 ghz p4. go do some research and stop letting ur brain get raped by dell. bye bye. swordfight:

agreeing with goneaway on this one...although he is a bastard. but AMD does put out better processors in my opinion.

now back to the point about performance..... do you really wanna continue this conversation with me that a CPU with a clock speed of 1.8ghz will perform better than one running at 2.8ghz+ ? seriously man does that even to misinformed primates thats gonna be a stretch to hold onto. now thats an overclock..... however as i said its using nothing other than the stock HSF and bios settings. AMD can also be o/c but unlike P4 you are now dealing with manually cutting/joining parts on your cpu as well as filling in the trench the nex XPs come with. this is not something either of us can assume your standard user is capable of or willing to do. and if you wanna talk about price.... that AMD XP 2200+ CPU youre talking about is more expensive to get for me than a retail P4 2.4ghz. so comparing its perfomance to the much lower priced P42.0ghz isnt really that bright. comparing costs the P4 model you can get for the same price as an AMD XP 2200+ outperforms the AMD in 3dmark2000, 3dmark2001, quake3 arena, lame mp3, SiSoft Sandra2002 CPU benchmark, SiSoft Sandra2002 Memory benchmark and any other goddamn benchmark that you wanna use. likewise for the overclocked P4 2.0. *sigh* i think its pretty clear whos brainwashed here. r3mix |

i bought a p4 because i do more than gaming. The p4's are better, the amd's haven't updated there chip size yet. the pentium 3.0's are going to be out in january. amd is junk (for what i do anyway)
