I didn't say that the whole ship should be crewed by Marines. A modern carrier has about 50-100 Marines on board.
What tactics does the enemy use in Star Trek that are so superior to modern infantry tactics? Jump behind a cargo crate and get pinned down?
Or walk straight and attack your enemy hand to hand like the Borg?

As far as phasers are concerned, if it shoots a Marine can shoot it.
But they'd be better off replicating a couple dozen Thompsons or M-16s against the Borg.

Your a freak. I respect that you like this show but what the hell is a phaser? Give a marine a gun, and hes a killing machine, give him a phaser, and thats just plain dumb. IMO, this thread is completly moronic, move on.
