Ask any WWII veteran, and they will tell you there was no blood splat at all through these uniforms. With todays uniforms it would be well possible, but no chance with those.
Before making mohaa, they have done a lot of research on these topics, and I also read articles by 2015/EA on this particular subject, dealing with the reason why there are only dust puffs instead of blood sprays.
