That "whatever" was directed at the content on those sites. There's too much to mention so I just called it "whatever".... biggrin:

Damn editing bug (of some sort). Yeah, some websites have a lot of stuff on them.

Well, I was pretty impressed except that you once again are just one super human... I walked right front of guard shot it in leg, and afterwards let him empty his clip on me -- from point-blank range -- of course I lived.

Annoying.

ummmm

What? eek:

Anyway. oOo:

I find it hard to believe ANYONE would think mgs2 is the better game, graphically mgs2 looks like crap compared to it and in terms of gameplay splintercell is much more realistic.

In mgs2 you have the dumbest enemy ai ive ever seen. It relys on a "view cone" to spot you and you conviently have the option of a radar system to tell when you're outta their field of view. You can stand roughly 10 feet away from an enemy staring straight at you and he won't spot you. oOo:

MGs2 was no more than an action game with the usual "take 30 ak rounds to die", in splintercell its not as forgiving and you can only take a few hits which makes the game a lot harder. Pistols take a few hits to kill you wheras an ak can kil you in much fewer hits.

I got the same complaint from the Splinter Cell. I've only been hit by a pistol, but clip from point-blank range was not enough to kill me. I'd hope the system would be even less forgiving.

EDIT: Of course this may be different in higher skill levels, but when limited in Normal mode it's kinda hard to tell oOo:

In xbox normal mode ive been killed by about 6 hits from a pistol, maybe its been dumbed down for the pc?

I like what I've tested so far! I can't seem to make the "wall jump", the one
where your character's legs hold him in the air... any insight?

Thats just a double tap of the jump button when ure at the height of your jump afaik.

SoLiDUS 12-19-2002 05:44 AM

Can't seem to do it !? rofl... for example, when entering the building, can I
just stand between both walls and double-tap the jump button to have my
legs hold me off the ground there ?

Hmm don't think so, are you bouncing towards a wall then tapping the jump button or are you just double tapping standing nowher near a wall? U have to sorta jump towards a wall then tap when u hit it i think.

SoLiDUS 12-19-2002 05:51 AM

I know what you're referring to, but that only makes me jump the wall (away from it kinda thing) but then I just land...

Must be too much of a gap for his legs to stretch then, ive only ever done that in the training mission on xbox, havn't found anywhere to do it in game yet :)

SoLiDUS 12-19-2002 06:09 AM

Nevermind, I was simply doing it in a place that didn't have enough room to
let me do a double jump for placement...

Pretty sweet, can't wait to have the full version biggrin:

intrestedviewer 12-19-2002 05:09 PM

It's because you have the Service Pack installed. I uninstalled mine, installed the hotfixes, works great now.

As for SC and MGS, I think Medal Gear Solid is cool as hell, and not another game will stand up to it, not even Tom Clancy's version. The NVG's he wears are cool as hell, IF YOU HAD THREE EYES!!!! heh

Anyways, I'm named after Solid Snake, so therefore he's got my back all the way. biggrin:
