And yes, GW's Homeland Security scares me a bit too. |
12 kids a day die in the USA because of guns.
Guns are made for a single purpouse, to kill people, they are very good at it. |

and it's a lot easier for that person to kill someone with a gun than without one..

Not really, I could, drive my van into a crowd of people at a high speed, and probably kill more people easier than with a gun. Oh...... How I love this pro-gun logic. |
Ya, but your truck wouldn't fit into a building or a school etc..

there are parts of atlanta where the average life rate is like 27.5 years old or something like that. and thats really not that many people killed (in pittsburg), because pittsburg is pretty big. thats only like 25 people. Now Atlanta, detroit St. louis are the US most dangerous cities and have the highest crime rates.
The thing about gun control is most guns used in murders are black market, and usually imported illegally. |
My country dosen't have guns in it, unlike America, and I don't want my country to turn out like that...
No guns in the first place means we can do something about stopping them coming in. For the U.S.A the situation is already too bad so it's probably better to own a gun.. |
Ya, but your truck wouldn't fit into a building or a school etc..[/quote:07519]
Wrong again, there are a lot of buildings I could get my van into, malls, schools, office buildings. I would just have a problem getting off the first floor. |

Thats the anti-gun logic. You are saying tools make a job easier (duh). We are saying it isnt the van's fault, why ban vans? |

Well i hate to disagree with you on this, but a van can kill without anyone controlling it. Say it was parked on a steep hill and the parking brake went out suddenly... it could roll down the hill killing unsuspecting pedestrians.... |

Say it was parked on a steep hill and the parking brake went out suddenly... it could roll down the hill killing unsuspecting pedestrians....[/quote:33177] That would be negligence on the van owners part most likely, much like leaving a loaded firearm where children could find it would be. The owner is responsible and should be held accountable. |

But the owner of the van wouldn't know that the parking brake was going to go out, holding him responsible would be unfair. What are you suggesting, another Van-conntrol law, the Van laws out there now are not be enfrorced the way it is. |

No reason to punish law abiding van owners for the crimes of the statistically insignificant few. I have a dozen vans at my house and I can tell, they are just waiting for the right moment to kill someone, the sneaky bastards. |

Dozens, huh... That brings up another sore point with me.... Why do I have to have a license to operrate a van, and why do I have to have it registered and insured. I mean, come on isn't it a constiutional right to have a form of transportaion, Think about, if you form a Milita, you are going to need some way get around. I bet Hilter, Stalin and Mao made their people register their vans. also. |
You know what I am getting sick of, is this "Americas one big violent shit-hole" mentallity and its just is'nt true. Grant it theres high-crime areas and places where people live in fear, but what country can honestly say that they dont have those areas (repeat honestly) I've been many times into downtown Seattle day and night, never once have I feared for my life or felt the need to carry a gun, but if I felt the need to why should'nt I hmm? If I have a license and permits for my weapons, no criminal past...so on, why sdould'nt I carry a gun or own one? The problem is not the guns, the problem is the scumfucks who bloody well use them illegally and we have plenty of them. In a society where there is crime fairly high people should have the right to defend themselves, a person could be killed in the time it takes for the police to show up...or being armed they could defend themselves.

Hmmm... Almost a good argument .... you need to work on it though, It can be used both ways.. If guns weren't so readily available, you would need one to defend yourself, there should'nt be high crime areas where people live in fear. You don't need a license and permit to own a gun in most cases. AND YES the problem is that they are used illegaly... My suggestion is by a Bullet proof van(which you do need license, regertation and insurance to operate) and show those scumfucks whose boss. In the end this is a never ending aurgement for this country, until we can make a deadly more efficent weapon to mass produce and sell to the public, the gun debate will rage. Get used to it Green |

Why the second of course;
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. A well regulated milita, would not be of any use holed up in Montana, they need to have a vans to ensure our security of a free state . And might I suggest a Chevy Venture Warner Bros' edition. That way the can watch training videos while driving to save the country from the government.. |
You don't need a license and permit to own a gun in most cases. [/quote:1f421] I need a (Federal) criminal backround check for every long gun I buy and a special purchase permit to purchase a handgun. You have to go to the local police dept to get the pistol permit. Then in order to get a carry permit you have to attend a special course and appear before a reveiw board. Its not like buying a box of cheerios. The illegal guns are the problem because there is no permit no training no nothing. mb |
