you're fools then, we'd lose support from Europe, then who would we turn to? bush is digging us a hole[/quote:de2fb]
We don't need Europe's support. If you are talking from an economical perspective, they need American money(i.e. selling us their products)far more then we need to buy them. Germany is using the "dead clients don't pay" rationilization. Iraq still owes them millions of dollars. France. . .well, I'll be kind. France sold Iraq paraphernalia to build their first nuclear reactor, which the Isrealis destroyed with a surgical airstrike at Osirak in 1981, so the French are straddling the fence on this, like they have throughout history. I think Bush will do what he needs to do. I think, if for nothing else, he will bide his time to let the Europeans be satisfied, as if they ever are. |
Germans are strongly opposed to war, they will not sway. I can tell there will be a war, but I do not see how this will benefit the economy (along with bush's idiot tax cuts). Sodamn insane and Fidel castro are going to live forever, doesnt it seem that way?
|
sure, but cuba has nice cigars. hmm...we could always subjugate them but it's a dump
|
and you say we don't need Europe? hah that is poppycock, just wait until the EU gets more members next year and is even stronger than ever. I can see a great revolution in China in the near future also, and whose side will they be on?
|
it would be nice to free cuba from dictatorship, it would slow down all the friggin refugees
|
whichever side has more AK-47s
|
China in the near future also, and whose side will they be on?[/quote:43bc1]
Their own. Besides we are already building trade links with China. That will not be an issue. The EU cannot even control it's own members and many Europeans despise the EU with a passion. Europe and the USA will never fall out economically because the economy has become too global now. Saddam Hussein will be removed whether it be by us or his own, remains to be seen. |
sorry to say this but the European economy is headed in a much favorable direction as opposed to our economy
|
war is good for the economy
and fuck the eu |
I'm a student and alot of the people at uni are against war on iraq.
They also don't know a damn thing about the war or about iraq. They are simply doing it because its 'cool' or their friends are doing it so they have to join in etc, I can sterotype them so easily. The pictures shown in the newspaper have all these teenagers the 'new age hippies' with their guitars and dyed green hair. They get involved in the war because they like to think that they are politically aware etc. It pisses me off so much that they can be so fu*king dumb and mindless. Like a flock of sheep they rally with their banners through whitehall... Media studies should be banned because it breeds retards. I had an argument with one girl who was stating all this BS about U.S troops killing thousands of innocents in Afghanistan. I asked her where she got all this information from, why wasn't it in the newspapers why wasn't it on T.V? Her reply was 'Stuff does get out you know.' and then she stormed off.. you got something against the duct tape industry?
just so the government can say "we told you so" when something happens |
department of homeland defense is such a joke

hehe, if we go to war, then in the near future they'll make a PC game out of it!

if there is a future ofter the war... hake:

Well, on second thought they probably wouldn't due to it being started by terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.

Re: Anti War protestors piss me off
Saddam used WMD on his own people[/quote:42e81]
You might want to research things before you start repeating propiganda that's been tossed around our country since the gulf war. Saddam used gas on the Kurds (the pastoral nomads in northern Iraq) to get them to stop attacking central Iraq/Baghdad. The Iraqi people were actually very happy that he had defended them against these people, since they were pillaging and causing general havoc on the country. This is also why Iraq has two no-fly zones, one to the north and to the south. The northern one was used by Iraqi helecopters to defend from the Kurds and the southern one was to be able to to use heli's to defend from the Shias, the southern pastoral nomads who wreaked havoc on the Iraqi people. THOSE are the people that Saddam gassed, not "his own people." The Iraqi people were quite happy with how he defended them. |

I'm dubious on that fact. |

Every sensible peron would realize that. Secon of all, if the war doesn't end in 60 days, the price of gasoline will cost about $4 per gallon. Once again, oil is not a good reason to go to war. Even my history teacher says, down right, he does bullshit anyone with some gassings of their own people, but he says, "We're going there for oil." |

Yes such a noble defense, considering the people of Bagdad would not dare show displeasure with his actions. |

Here is an idea. Get all of the prisoners out of jail sentenced to life and let them be human shields for our troops. They can also clear the minefields.
