Sergeant_Scrotum 03-11-2003 10:57 PM

I need to start working cry:

redhawk_six 03-11-2003 11:27 PM

anyone know just about how much these would cost:

-MP5A3 with working Tac Light, and folding stock
-HK Mk. 23 SOCOM with Tac Light
-M4A1 with Tac Light

I'd love to get into airsoft, but I only earn $6 an hour, and only work one day a week cry:

Ferich 03-11-2003 11:59 PM

Emmm..

A lot. I'd buy one at a time.

redhawk_six 03-12-2003 12:09 AM

Ja, I know, I'm not sure which to go with, the MP5 or the M4.... eek:

Ferich 03-12-2003 12:31 AM

Yeah.

I would go for the M4. And if you're buying a MP5 for short range, don't, just use a pistol. M4 and the Mk23 or whatever the hell pistol you said would be a good idea. MP5's are just so unoriginal.

Slaggg 03-12-2003 01:17 AM

Got me sold.

Anybody know of any 'places' to play in the LA area? Organized groups, events, etc. ?

Ferich 03-12-2003 01:18 AM

Just run down the streets of LA screaming " JIHAD!" with your airsoft rifle. I'm sure the cops won't care.

Slaggg 03-12-2003 01:18 AM

BTW, Plycon's is US. Based in Southern Georgia. Check out the "About Us" link on their homepage.

Slaggg 03-12-2003 01:20 AM

You're probably right, since they seem to be mostly concerned with setting up fake busts and then getting busted for it. Dumbasses.

For those in CA that may be interested.

Think I may check out that Weekend of Heroes thingy. Meet this PFC Pepping fella.

Miscguy 03-12-2003 02:13 AM

Fuck you paintball aint real enough.

[url:e051b]http://meatpopsickle.tripod.com/armo.htm[/url:e051b]

Thats my paintball gun. Yeah paintball is fucking expensive. That gun itself retails for 500. I got it for 280, then put about 500 into it. New air tank, red dot reflex site, remote, bag, little bits for maintainence. The company who makes it also has an Mp5 is several models.

Who said they had an M-16-A2 airsoft for sale? If you can get some pics I may be interested. I know of some people up here who play and if i can airsoft and paintball i'll be active every weekend. Plus the bits from my M4 paintball gun would interchange.

Also you can get Airsoft way fast. My friends M4 airsoft chrono's at 400+ whereas paintball guns try and stay lower than 300.

Miscguy - that would be Zap.

I've never played airsoft so I don't know if I am entitled to this, but I think that paying over $100 for a gun that shoots little plastic BBs is a waste of money. And the one's without orange tips may "look cool" but they are too realistic, if a cop shoots you, they will most likely shoot at you.

Sergeant_Scrotum 03-12-2003 09:43 AM

[quote:b4508]if a cop shoots you, they will most likely shoot at you.[/quote:b4508]
..the fuck? they will shoot you if they shoot at you? eek: . BTW i dont see the point of paying $12,000 on paintball shit, my friend just spent that on a new gun & i have no idea why. they guns look un realalistic, their ugly, & realy messy.

hopefully the RAM series of paintball rifles will get popular (and hopefully cheaper!!!) soon.
They look almost like the real thing, load from a 20 rounds mag, and teh CO2 cartridge is in the buttstock.

Bazooka_Joe 03-12-2003 12:29 PM

There was an entire thread on this about a month ago.

cmelton 03-12-2003 02:15 PM

plycon is in Valdosta Ga.

I was in their store just a couple of months ago. They are also one of the worlds largest retailers of PC cooling and case modding supplies.

airsoft link is

http://www.plyconsarmory.com

pc site is

http://www.plycon.com

they seem to be very friendly and an honest retailer to purchase supplies from.

this is a perfect time for an edit button hake:

Also, which is better, electric or gas powered? I dont want spring cuz you have to cock them after everyshot, even the SMG's oOo:

Vance 03-12-2003 03:16 PM

Electric. They shoot faster than gas. Only problem is you gotta charge the battery up once in awhile.

03-12-2003 03:39 PM

how long does a bettery usually last? And also, if there are 2 of the same RIFLE, like a KAR98, which you have to cock after every shot, should I get the gas or electric version?

And look at this site for WWII airsoft, the MP44 is $1000!

03-12-2003 03:40 PM

EDIT!

First off, your an idiot. Second the whole point of arisoft or paintball is that rather than just shooting rounds at nothing you can shoot people. It adds a tactical element and for some reason its exhilerating to pull the trigger and "kill" someone. Then meet them off to the side and talk about the game, the sweet moves pulled off, the incredible shot, whatever. Then go do it again.

I have never seen a cop at a paintball field, or in the woods. Unless they were playing, and then they just say how bad ass it looks and ask to shoot it. Unless your a complete dumbass, like i know some of you are. Then realistic weapons are fine, why you ask? Because if you only use them for there intended purpose, and dont go waiving it around your school, workpalce, or middle of the street, then why the hell would a cop have a reason to pull a gun on you?

Dont be a complete fucking idiot and give the cops a reason to be around and bad shit wont happen. God damn you paranoid fucks ruin everything. "Oh it looks real, he could get shot, i'll protect him by making him paint it orange". Leave me alone, i know how to take care of myself, if some dumb fuck gets shot its his own fault.

pest 03-13-2003 07:15 AM

^^^I agree^^^

Why cant people be responsible for themselves anymore. Are we, as a whole, too dumb to know the difference in right and wrong or even basic common sense any more?

BallisticWookie 03-13-2003 08:19 AM

Wish they had this stuff in Australia, would be fucking cool. Paintball is ok, just doesnt feel the same as holding a lifelike weapon.

Milla 03-13-2003 09:52 PM

I thought those were CAR-15s? biggrin:

Innoxx 03-13-2003 09:56 PM

Actually the d-boys mod their guns so much that it can't really be classified like they'll start off with the car-15, add a match barrel, an M16A2 bolt mech., aimpoints, taclights, nade launchers, hair triggers, integral silencers, camo and whole shitload of other goodies.

Milla 03-13-2003 09:57 PM

I really love the Camo they put on the guns, how do they do that?

Innoxx 03-13-2003 10:04 PM

An airbrush full of pale yellow is my guess.

My battery lasts around a game - around 2 hours, with about 1 hour 30 of that actually shooting.......and i am generally quite trigger happy biggrin:
I always carry a spare in my pocket though, theyre not very bulky. well, its about the length of a dvd case, and the width of an average mobile phone.......sorry, cell phone to you....
It depends on the gun you have decides the size of battery required.
The proper airsoft places have charging points anyway so you can charge up between games.
I would get electric, regardless of what gun. fair enough shotguns need gas power, as they give a more powerful burst, but theyre more expensive in the long run and youre not allowed to carry any spare cans in game with you -incase it gets shot. Its unlikely to explode or anything, but safety first......

They really had CAR-15's....but in the movie they had some CAR-15's and some M4's. THe M4's are a mistake in the movie because M4's werent introduced until 1994.
