Bren guns, I'm told by Grandpa (veteran of El-Alamein, Anzio and Normandy) were for knocking down walls and piercing light armour. Only John Wayne / Stallone / Arnie / Audie Murphy would be able to fire one from the hip and remain on both feet, but I'm glad that somebodies done one anyway. Its one weapon they really should have put in the original game. Maybe a remodelled Spearhead MG42 would be more fitting.

i think walker post some pictures of firing rom the hip, althhough your right, it was normally the squad weapon set up on the ground. but what the hell, its a game. The sooner the brits get rid of the bar the better

BTW, i think audie Murphy was an american "super soldier", real life version of rambo or something. Supposedly the best soldier in WW2. I think he did do some films after the war as well.

audie murphy won the medal of honor, he killed a lot of nazis, but i really wish i could get a piece of that bren gun. someone should ask the guy who made the fg42 to give it a shot

Well, granted, I dont mind shooting a bren from the hip, it is only a game right enough. I wouldnt knock the guys model either, its a start, and lot better than I could do, having never even tried creating a weapon skin before. Back to Audie Murphy, I read that he was Americas most decorated soldier of WWII, and went on to be a movie star. Dont ask me what movies he was in though, I've no idea.

ive got a bren ingame replacing the BAR, but its my first model for mohaa, and the worst. and the skin is a very quick 10 min one just so i could get the parts right. i was gonna make this as a fixed MG, but it didnt work properly. ill sort it out one day

this version is the one that overwrites the bar, ive got the files for the turret version but theyre the ones that dont work.

its a handle. there was one on the picture i had, which was a drawing in a book of WW2 uniforms and guns. but i cant find a photo of one with that on, but some did have that handle. that was my first model, and i made it in truespace, so its all made out of cubes, and cylinders for the barrel and handles. ill probably remake it this week. this was just like a test to get a new model ingame, and i couldnt think of any other gun to model

If anyones willing to model the Bren, I have extremely accurate details about the weapon... like how it is as accurate as an M1 if fired in short bursts, but kicks down and to the left if fired non-stop. The Bren was actually considered to be "too accurate". It fired the same caliber bullet as the Enfield rifle... but I have talked with a guy who has fired it with NATO rounds of some sort... I will have to dig up the email. He added a lot of useful info about the Bren, including how it was fired (stationary as well as moving, this is FACT, not opinion), and a firing sound was compared the the StG, but a little different. If anyone wants to put together a team for modding the Bren Light MG, I am willing to give informational support. Come on community, lets make a Bren.

I think whats needed is a group of mods get together like demonic studios so they can split work/help each other. i dont know anything about modding but i am willing to do research, testing etc
