dude youre retarded. most modern jobs do not use the mac. take a look at programming. none use a piece of shit mac. only people that use macs are animatiors and other video/audio people. also imacs and such are for comp n00bs. theyre not as customizable and ive used one and personally after using the pc, i felt like i was going back in time and using explorer as an os.

Arguing Mac Vs. PC is a bit lop sided in that they can't be directly compared.

It's like comparing a family car with a pick-up truck, they're built for different jobs/situations.

I use a PC at work and I know the graphics department here use it as well; but that's not to say a mac can't do the same thing. It's really more preference than anything.

My girllfriend owns a Mac, and when I sit down at it I find it's basically the exact same as Windows at it's core.

They're both just Operating Systems, built for the same job.

Under the hood the make up is nearly identical except the CPU architecture - And honestly, the difference isn't as big as some make it out to be.

If you ran Windows on a Mac you wouldn't tilt back in your chair with a smug grin on your face and proclaim:

'Ahhh, It's a motorolla powering this PC!'

You wouldn't have any idea. Same goes for the opposite scenario of OS X on a PC.

As far as Linux - You're a fool if you use it as a home OS. It's not made for gaming/multimedia.

Linux was built from the ground up for geeks. Geeks with servers, and geeks who can program. If you can do neither, install Windows.

i agree with Gerand, Macs are the shit for business things, and graphical, and video editing. but if you are a hardcore gamer the PC will always be what you want. my dad is a mac freak so i know a lot about both types of comps, id say macs are awesome and so are pc's, its just windows that sucks and bill gates makin money off of his errors he put into the program so we would pay even more money just to upgrade, but macs dont do that their OS's rule

HA the G4 is the biggest fucking joke I've ever heard of. The damn thing is "so quiet" because it has no cooling fan. If you block the heat vents for more than a few seconds, the damn thing shuts down. If you block the vents for more than 30 minutes, you have permanently damaged your motherboard and have to get a new one. But yes, no need to swap out video cards, etc. with your mac. Just throw it away and get a new one! Fucking dumbasses.

I dont care what you guys buy or use. Get whatever floats your boat. But for me personally, its 100% pc.

A couple of quick reasons:

1 - I dont want to have to shop in the mac section for hardware or software.

2 - i have never been to a forum and heard someone ask, "Does anyone know how to make this *insert software/game/controller/printer/etc. here* work with windows?"
