Last year, me and a couple of friends took some bottle rockets and m80s and shoved them in this bee hive that was in a hole in a wall. We lit that shit and KABOOOM. Needless to say their was alot of dead bees, also some who survived proceeded to chase us. Thats was alot of fun.

My dad was born on an army airfield in texas, and when he was a kid he'd throw rocks at red kneed tarantulas and scorpions for kicks.

this is irrelevant, but one of my dad's friends killed himself trying to eat a tarantula oOo:

A couple years ago when i was 5 or so, I went to the bathroom, lifted the seat, and there was this huge brown thing that looked like a cicada before it becomes an adult, the thing was about as big as 2 tennis balls. Well, i threw the lid down, flusehd, and ran to my dad, where we came and it was gone...scared the shit outta me

The worst part is they're blind so they crash into everything when they fly. What is it, every 13 years they come out in numbers?

04-21-2003 07:10 PM

not showing up

up

Old Reliable 04-21-2003 07:11 PM

lol. at least you dont have to worry about cicadas that much, birds love to eat them so much they over-eat and throw up because the gorge themselves too much. i love insects!

I feel your pain man, spiders freak the shit outta me. However, remember that 'usually' in nature the smaller the animal/insect/etc. the more potent it's venom is likely to be. Which brings me to my point here. That huge ass spider hanging out in your toilet wasn't a Brown Recluse, here's the ugly little bastard up-close and personal:

oh man, cuz that thing was huge and its legs were flailing in the air cuz it was on its back. *Shivers* I hope i never run into one again

Old Reliable 04-21-2003 10:13 PM

most spiders are OK by me, but the things that really get me are HUGE millipedes and HUGE moths

04-21-2003 10:16 PM

ah Jesus, at Mickey Owen Baseball Camp, i went there 2 summer's ago, and outside the cafeteria there, there was the huge foot long moth just sitting there, but it was dead. It was so weird, it camoflauged right into the sandy ground

04-21-2003 10:16 PM

i miss those cicadas, hope they'd show up more often, havent seen one in almost 3 years. they'd shed their shells on the trees

Old Reliable 04-21-2003 10:20 PM

hahahaa, i dont know what it is but just seeing a fuckin huge bug in my house scares the shit outta me. when I was a kid I found a praying mantis and caught it for a pet for a few days then released it, that is probably my favorite insect
