[quote="Chronic Diarrhea":89076]NCAA Football 2004. That's it. I have two games for my PS2: NCAA Football 2003 and NCAA Football 2004.[/quote:89076]

How is NCAA 2004? If it's good, it's probably going to be the first game I will purchase after my PS2 comes back in from repair. Only if it's in working condition, however.

The games I play right now are NBA Street Volume 2 and Halo.

Scary? How so? Stuff jumping out at you? Its very suspensful, but I won't call it scary. I'm stuck on Surface Tension. I have no idea where to go...

BF 42, THE EoD mod is great.

I was playing SWG, but I lost interest.

I was playing the Tron 2.0 demo for a while but the servers out there suck, so I'll wait until they do the full release.

jedi academy & swg

i fucking love jedi academy. the lightsaber moves are pure ownage although there are a few i would have liked to seen added. i want to jump up and thrust into them from above sort of like the move when they're down on the ground. now that would be sweet

It's good. The graphics have been bumped up a bit, such as lighting effects. The sights shine off of helmets and visors perfectly, and everything looks more photo-realistic. The animations are much better this time around, and the players look more like humans than robots. The animation transition is smoother, and there are tons of new animations for the blocking and tackling.

The gameplay is a little different, due to the more realistic blocking. Now you really have to follow your blocks. You can't expect to bouce to the outside anymore and get 12 yards everytime. Also the player ratings are more realistic. I thought in 2003 the high rated players really didn't make that much more of an impact than the medium rated players. In 2004 that has changed. Anytime I'm in a jam, I can rely on Roy Williams of the Texas Longhorns (Rating 99 overall) to make a big play.

Get 2004, you won't regret it.

Chronic's post.. [/quote:f4085]

One thing I remembered that bothered me a bit from 2003 was the very fast pace of the runners. Sometimes it would make tackling very difficult, even on lower difficulty settings and when facing friends espically. Is it the same speed or a bit slower this time around, similar to the tempo of Madden 2003?

Chronic Diarrhea 08-06-2003 10:57 PM

I've never played Madden past 2001, so I don't know. What I can tell you though is that the running motions are much more fluid, and I find it easier to make open field tackles. The trick is to not dive at everything. You can now strafe at any time so you can square up on the ballcarrier. I find this very useful to make open field tackles. Linebackers tackle like linebackers now. Rent it first and decide for youself whether the 50 bucks is worth it or not. I love football, especially college football so I went ahead and bought it.

Miscguy 08-06-2003 11:12 PM

Yeah, i should probably start playing games again. Perhaps i'll "buy" some of these on the list you have made, and see whats what. Mostly i've just been sitting around waiting for doom3, and HL2.
