i listen to guarnere playing on his guitar

Uber_Soldat 11-15-2003 08:15 PM

Iron Maiden is basically the only band i ever listen to. been going almost 30yrs, and still putting out original albums with great songs, lyrics and solos.
apart from them, steve vai and (old) metallica are the other bands i listen to. then ive got a folder on my pc with QOTSA, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creed, Queen, Rammstein, Feeder and a few other bands.
i hate anything that isnt rock, and from the last 15yrs. all this rap and whatever the rest of its called isnt worth being called music, but thats all that gets played on tv/radio, they even present kids tv these days. you cant get away from it, and its not like its even good at all. but if you like that (and i cant understand how anyone can, apart from MTV's brainwashing scheme), then fine. ill keep listening to what i like knowing i have good taste, and know what good music is

Whatever is on the radio. Music is oh so unimportant to me. I used to really get into it, but dont care much anymore, now its just background. I went thru stages with almost all music, rock, metal, punk, rap, country, jazz, and all the cute little derivatives. Visual stimulous and conversations are much more satisfying now.

Music is my life. I'm ALWAYS listening to it.

The most tedious of jobs can fly by if you're listening to good music.

11-17-2003 04:03 PM

I dont believe Im saying this.......

But I agree with Tripper , Im 26 and I dont think I will ever outgrow music. My tastes may change for sure , but music will remain.

pest 11-17-2003 04:09 PM

We all have our tastes, its just secondary to me. It even goes so far as I will be riding down the road and flip thru all my cds (OK, I do have some) to find just the right song to drive to and all it takes is a short skirt, or trafic sign to distract me to the point that I will be 3 songs later before I even realize I missed the one I was looking for. Music is still cool, I am just very easily distracted from it.

imported_Fluffy_Bunny 11-17-2003 04:22 PM

I like Schubert, Elgar and Pachelbel.

Jotun 11-17-2003 06:41 PM

im not that old, but im old enough to know that i love music, and its probably one of the only things that make me happy no matter what, and no im not a goth "oh i hate life kid", but every has their tough times. the 4 bands i like that always lift my spirits are Dream Theater, Metallica, Pat Metheny, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Dream Theater's music always deals with everyday feelings. Metallica as well, but alittle more powerful. Pat Metheny just enjoys his music and plays music "from the heart." and RHCP is just great, alotta mood lifting songs.

im getting into some rap... RHCP isnt rap at all really, but their vocals could be....but i'll listen to rap that i hear in movies and stuff....

i love techno when its in a video, such as the Hard Clan Counterstrike video, i dont know how many of you have seen it, but they have this techno song in it thats amazing with the content of the video.
