Don't know if you were talking to me, but if you read my post I came right out and said the Red Sox spent money, but it was incomparable to the amount the Yankees spend.

Either way, the spending both the Yankees AND Red Sox along with a few other teams do is bad for baseball. Baseball definately needs a cap.

Then poor Toronto with their amazing draft picks can win it all...

As a baseball fan, I'd much rather see a smaller market team like Toronto win the World Series by developing young talent then the Yankees winning one by buying the entire league. That's just my opinion anyways. I'd feel the same way about the Sox if they had one a World Series in the past 86 years. biggrin:

This does add more fuel to the inferno that is the Red Sox - Yankees rivalry, which should make for some more great games to watch in the upcoming season.
