Milla, this looks like a Dodge Aspen and i don't believe it's a Hemi. A Hemi has sparkplugs going through the top of the valve covers and the heads are massive. I can't make it out in the pic you supplied. Take a look at this pic, is this what was in the car?

Now this car really isn't a "SuperBird". The only year the SuperBird was built was in 1970. That car appears to be a 71-73 Charger/Satellite with a wing added on and the "Superbird" decal. This is what a '70 SuperBird looks like.

the wing / spoiler is tacky.. reminds me of the kamikaze one on that rice basher...

Yeah Milla, that engine may be a Hemi but from the angle i can't tell. I'm a Ford guy myself but love the 'ol Mopars. I have a '73 Duster as my daily driver. How do you import guys feel about 60's American muscle?
This is what i'm restoring now......'66 Ford Fairlane

No Arkan that is or could be a Road Runner. From 76 to 80 it was a trim option on the Volare. Check here[/url:1e6ff].

You're right, it's possibility a Volare dressed in Roadrunner trim. Kinda weird calling that car a roadrunner huh?

A little bit, i dont really like that year roadrunner, i like the 69-71's the best. Just like the charger, 69-70 was the best. Like the one in the fast and the furious....now thats a fucking car.

MrLevinstein 07-13-2004 04:23 PM

I always liked the 68-69 Chargers, the otheres were ugly and way too long with awkward looking grilles. The thing i Never liked about mopar is they never really kept a style on their old cars for more than 1 or 2 years, so IMO 68, 69 were the best years and should have kept with those designs but they changed it, same with the roadrunner etc.

The torina was nice, but not nearly as nice as the Fairlane, IMO just a better looking automobile

Sergeant_Scrotum 07-13-2004 07:36 PM

I still love older firebirds (like 1979ish), i love the way the lights & hood look

Word, shaker hoods own me

Arkan 07-13-2004 08:01 PM

I can appreciate all kinds of cars but the American muscle from the 60's and 70's have a special place in my heart.

With that said, i agree the '68 - '69 Chargers were the best years for them with the '68 being tops. I also like the '66 & '67 Chargers with the fastback and fold-down rear seats.

...but my all time favorite make is Ford & Shelby. I'll take this car any day of the week. Lovely isn't she?

....needed to "edit" so some people would know what this car is. It's a '70 Boss 429 Mustang in grabber blue. One of my all time American Iron.

Short Hand 07-13-2004 08:06 PM

Gran Torino > Shelby GT 500 or any other.

GT is just to sexy.

MrLevinstein 07-13-2004 08:40 PM

This guy up the road has an amazing plymouth GTX in navy blue, It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line, the thing is mint
