theres alot of things you could be talking about. Most likely it is something from the real rifle with no purpose on the airsoft version like the bolt catch or charging handle.

oh the funny button thing you can push in? Thats another useless part on the airsoft gun. In the real gun, its called the forward assist and is used the help chamber a round that didnt chamber right during the cycle.

My gun shots around 400 FPS maybe a little less.

The thing your tlaking about is the forward assist, when you first chamber a round you always push that to make sure the round seats right in the chamber, other wise you could jam.

Paintball's my game. It's pretty expensive, though.

yeah paintball is fun but when you are just laying on the trigger (im sorry, getting carpal tunnel pressing the trigger), its not too much fun. The main difference is that airsoft is a milsim game. The tactics are basically exactly the same. The only thing that holds it back is that an assault rifle still wont shoot accuratly past 75-100 yards, a sniper might
