I have an opinion because ive played the leak, read up on just about every bit of the info there is, watched all the vids there is to watch and read a ton of interviews, ive a very good idea of how the game plays and what theyre trying to give as a gaming experience. Hl2 is by far more overrated because of the release dates, the delays and the fact that halflife was the most popular fps on the pc with hl2 trying to fill its shoes.

Counterstrike source, its not a sequel, more of a graphical update with added physics and stuff. Far as i know thats halflife-2's multiplayer mode.

It is an adventure game, but its a game where you are supposed to sneak around and avoid confrontations. You use those skills when surrounded by guards when you ransack a mansion, but when you are in a catacombs, the state of being alone and the environment itself is scary. The undead isnt a large part of the game, they only have a handfull of undead missions to play through. They cant be knocked out or stabbed to death either, you have to sneak around them or use holy water if you are lucky enough to have any.

avp2 was pretty scary...my wife and i played this together and some of the firefights as a marine were scary and made us jump...especially when you get into the main facility and the lighting is dark and you use your flashlight...i anticipate doom3 being scary as shit...re2 had its moments...

Can any of you imagine an AvP on the Doom3 engine??? ed: You know someone is gonna put the two together eventually.

hey all a couple weeks ago i "bought" the alpha version of doom3 from irc.................i pissed my pants the first five minutes..........u get off this elevator and u start walkin and the nall of a sudden the fucken walls turn into zombies and start attackin u....i was scared cause i wasnt expecting it

would be wild if people made some mods for doom iii. just imagine a vietnam war mod on that engine rock: x2

I wanna see a dark and absolutely frightening WW1 game on that engine.
