Yeah, thats called being a mercenary. Killing people and gettign paid. Whats sad is that people believe money is greater than a human life.

If you live in a ghetto...Human life should be your last concern

.... oOo:

Maybe the ghettos of Germany circa 1930's, but not modern day ghettos. Would you kill a man for a million dollars? This is whats sad these days, i'm sure atleast 10% of people in America would say yes. Materialism and greed are shoved down our throats as a need.

I like Bill O'Reilly, he says what he wants without fear of upsetting others. He's more in line of my beliefs.

As for Moore and his movies, he's entitled to his opinion but....anyone can skew the facts. Anything can be turned into a conspiracy (JFK's death, Moon landing, TWA flight 800, Holucast, Pearl Harbor, 9/11...etc, etc) I believe there was WMD in Iraq but were either hidden or shipped out of the country before the war. Hell, we gave them plenty of time and they even knew what day an invasion would happen. Anytime you invade ones country, it's cause for concern and controversy. Believe me, i don't like the fact that most of the other countries in the world despise the U.S., many believe we're killing machines who somehow deserve 9/11, and alot of citizens are divided over the issue and it's causing friction within. but....

...it's something that needed to be done. There are a ton of good reasons not to go to war but unfortunately, there were more important reasons to do so. It's a tough situation for everyone.

Well the US could keep spy satellites watching every nook and cranny of Iraq, to make sure the WMD's could not slip out, even if they were deported this would have been discovred, i take it US inspections for WMD's in Iraq has been efficient and saying they have not been is calling them incompetent. Trust me its hard to hide these things. even the administration admits their were no WMD's and they made a mistake .

As for Vance, he only said that maybe 2 times, O Reilly repeated his statement over and over again, never answering the question.

I didn’t like the conspiracy theory’s in the film, but I think the whole point of the film was, "why Iraq?"
And just that one little clip of Colan Powel in 2000, saying that there was no WMD's in Iraq and there is no way Iraq could make WMD's.

im sure you could say that your freeing the people, but do they really want to be free?

It would be nice if some of the European country’s could just slide on over to our side and let those guys do what ever they want over there

Short Hand 08-01-2004 07:25 PM

30 000 people have died in Sudan from civil war, its a international crisis, which needs military intervention. Millions died in Rwanda, North Korea has WMD's. Their are places in much more need if your going to bring up the Suddam was a bad guy thing or the WMD's issue. But then again war should not be your first clause of action.

Typical Bill O'Reily. He tries to call the shots, but when he goes on the deffensive, he interrupts, changes topic, or lengthens it to avoid another aspect. I especially like it when O'Reilly says 'youre diverting the issue' even though Moore is at that very moment making his point and answering the very question O'Reilly asked.
......
O'REILLY: He didn’t lie.
MOORE: He said something that wasn’t true.
O'REILLY: Based upon bad information given to him by legitimate sources.
MOORE: Now you know that they went to the CIA, Cheney went to the CIA, they wanted that information, they wouldn’t listen to anybody.
O'REILLY: They wouldn’t go by Russian intelligence and Blair’s intelligence too.
MOORE: His own people told him. I mean, he went to Richard Clarke the day after September 11th and said, “What you got on Iraq?” and Richard Clarke’s going “Oh well this wasn’t Iraq that did this sir, this was Al Qaeda.”
O'REILLY: You’re diverting the issuedid you read Woodward’s book?

WTF is that??? Moore is on point explaining why he believes Bush lied and O'Reilly himself accuses Moore of changing the subject and in the same breathe changing it himself.

I dont particularly care for Mr. Moore, but he conducted himself well on that interview without any ranting or raving like he did at the academy awards or whatever that ceremony was. I wish they hadnt stayed on the WMD issue that long, it would have been interesting to see O'Reilly argue this.

No he said he would HIMSELF go over. Its a facetious and loaded question meant to hammer O'Reilly whether he answered yes or no.

The 9/11 Commission's report is hardly a slamdunk against or for Moore or O'Reilly. Take the time to read it (along with the PA) I'm sure its informative.

The altitude changed caused by Moore stepping up INTO the ring would no doubt cause a stroke. I dont wish that on anyone.
