BS has said he's looking in to better servers. I also gave him a couple of options.

By the way, noobs, Norfolk, VA servers > NY, NY servers.

Norfolk, VA has the largest pipe on the East Coast (thanks to having the largest naval base in the world) and is 100000x more stable because it lacks the local load that NY has.

ET, ugh.. good for a cheap clan server, but not the greatest gaming server company.

Yeah well, I should've known better. At work I tend to almost always go with the lowest priced contractor (company policy) and they <strike>almost</strike> always fuck shit up for us.

ANyway, ET claimed that they've fixed everything so let's see how long it stays up this time, their response is so freakishly similar to real life contractors. oOo:

Anyway, I just talked to Rudedog, and he recommended me to get a dedicated box so we can do whatever the <strike>hell</strike> heck (<strike>damn</strike> darn 13 years olds) we want with it. That's what game server providers do anyway.

Less expensive + more control = an option I will seriously look into.

Anyone going to play MOH on the server? Im going in now, just wanted to know if anyone else was going in. I just thought that if people actually play on the server, it would be more of an incentive for BS to keep a server running. oOo:

But I guess when MoHPA comes out the server will come in handy anyway.

You can do co-location, but running your own box means constant monitoring in case something goes wrong, ja?

Noc I do run a lot of those for presumably more mission critical operations, but I might want someone to look after this game server for me.

The thing is, I talked to rudedog and he told me that 99% of the time publishers or developers would release win32 version of their game server clients before they do linux binaries.

I'm taking a wild guess, that we wouldn't want to WAIT a few weeks before finally being able to "play on our turf" on games like MoH:PA?
