Fact is he wasnt important enough "or so everyone thought" for a cruise missle or air strike. No one did. Or at least a majorrity of Americans did before the events of sept 11th. Maybe you did because you have a time machine and can tell about these things, but a majority of America would have just been pissed.Its really something "like Iraq" you have an opinion on. + Im still sure sept 11th would have gone down, Osama deputy's are just as capable as him, if not even more.

It is probably true that his deputies would carry on the fight, but even the guys in President Clinton's administration testified before Congress that he was "the biggest threat to America" so the statement that "he wasn't important enough" doesn't hold water. The average American might not have considered him that dangerous but the Administration sure did...and they did nothing about it.
