that's a shame...especially considering he's such a good singer eek:

I saw the show and he wasn't lip syncing. His vocal track WAS playing along with the music, but his mic was live as well.
He was rapping over top of the canned vocals. |
exarctly...

i dont mean to start a my music is better war but yes your right. their music is just a steady beat with some guy talking in rhymes.[/quote:f2dfa] Whos music? oOo: ....and rapping is not talking over a beat. Listen to 'The Streets,' thats what talking over a beat is. Rapping is all about sounding funky and flowing over the beat, using your voice as an instrument. You have to listen to alternative/non-mainstream rap artists or older mainstream hiphop from at least a decade ago to understand about hiphop and the way the vocals work, seeing as mainstream hiphop is an entirely different genre now. ....and someone else said it, Eminem was just rapping over a non-instrumental cut of his music. Ashlee simpson had a live band playing and she lipped-synched to just her vocals. Eminem would have had his track playing in the background with the vocals turned down. Plenty of hiphop artists do this live - Its not lip-synching at all. |
lip-singing is like the new IN .. Everyone is doing it!
|
there is nothing new about lip-syncing...
|
He's probably too young to even remember Milli Vanilli. Sad.
