Tanks are very usefull in Urban combat.

i don't understand how it can be used freely when there are so many civilians around. Is this possible: "Hey, i saw some iraqi bad-asses run into that building over there. Let's shoot the hell out of it with the tank."

Dude in a mission like fallujah when the civilians know we are coming and they all ran the fuc kout, a tank is an amazing friend. Even with civilians.

I was just wondering if it was a standard procedure for the american forces. Hell, I agree with it if it will save our soldiers' lives.

Hahahaha stupid iraqi kids think tanks are vending machines and would expect chocolate and cigarettes out of the barrell

Unknown_Sniper 11-09-2004 09:51 PM

Kid: HEh, mom some crazy guy ran into our house wih a gun and theres a U.S. tank coming up the road
Mom: Lets leave
Tank: Bang
house: /life

maybe they made it out maybe they didnt. But that guy who ran in probably didnt make it out either. Chjances are thoug that the kid and mom would have heard explosions and gun shots and they would have let by then.

With the LAVS my sgts use to say kids would lay in the middle of the street to block us, but our drivers would speed up faster and the kid would get scared and take off running. Plus you never let them take anything off the "Pig" (lAV) we use the maddox handle (axe handle) and beat them away from the Pig.

This past weekend we used m16 paintball guns. We've also used the MILES gear, but it's kind of gay in my opinion.

We have a brigade exercise coming up the third week of NOV. We're gonna have basically all of the alberta reservists doing training in the same area. should be cool.

You may think it is useless, but this might really make the occupation time shorter. Fallujah is supposedly an "HQ" of a lot of the insurgents. I think it is also testing the Iraqi Army and police.

Yea i guess its why they made it to a hospital with little or no resistance?

Just fucking packed.

You mean the hospital on the edge of town?

Some life advice.. always use this order of operations:

1. Think

I'll do whatever the fuck i want, thanks.

As far as I know the marines dont use anything like miles, they use live ammo but the training is a little different

Madmartagen 11-09-2004 11:45 PM

considering alot of attacks on coalition forces are originating from Falluja, the capture of this city should make shit alot easier. the sooner the better, our troops can come home and the iraqis can move on. good luck to everyone there.
