Shoegaze: I like your points ideas. How about points for jumping on a nade to save your team mates? Would require a mod with a 'jump on nade' ability. I.e. you press button within 6 feet and you're on it. It could calculate how many buddies you saved and give you points for each. If you don't save any, you just died for nothing! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

For smarties who think shotgun is so easy, try it on the destroyed village map. You will get sniped, rifled, and machine-gunned to death over and over. It depends on the map. When are people going to get a clue or lose their attitudes?

then you whip out the rifle, smg, and mg, and mow those poor sobs down before they get into range

Jonesy, I think that'd be an interesting idea, though I am unsure of how feasible implementing that would be. Maybe in a near total conversion mod that would be possible. The game can run a quick check on how many players are in range when the grenade blows ... but since you are on top of it you get points for each save. Interesting.

I don't know the inner workings of modifying the game, so I don't know how easily a point system could be implemented. I'd like to see it, however, especially for the objective maps.

And while mentioning the objective maps, I trust I am not the only one who thinks the ones that shipped with the game are lacking?
