Yep. Dude's fucking hilarious. I saw him at Yuk Yuk's a couple of years ago. He asked if there were any Newfs in the audience, so of course I w00ted and held up my pint. He said something to the effect of "Yep, luh. All the Newfoundlanders over huddled up next to the bar. God love ya, b'ys!" biggrin:

He gave me a nod and a wink after the show (in the Newfoundland "How's ya gettin' on?" way...not in a "I want to meet you after the show and ride your ass" way).

I met him when I was in grade 6...which is about 8 years ago...when he was the slime tour guy for uh-oh for YTV. At Kilcoo Camp they were doing the slime tour there when our school did our week trip there.

Interesting, but that doesn't change my opinion of Leary at all. It's not like Denis is the only comedian to ever do that (if he did in fact steal ideas).

Charlie chaplin took a lot of his berlesque/slapstick age styled comedy from others as well, it is very very rare something is 100 % original. I am sure if you looked hard enough you could find other comedians with similar bits as others.

true true. but you're talking styles and basic themes taken. the fact that someone of the same business (ie. another comidien) made reference to one comic stealing actual material from another comic is the point i was making.
