I picked mine up this morning, the thing is friggin beautiful. The picture is so crisp, the screen is huge and it feels great in your hands. I have pretty big hands and they weren't cramping up unlike the Nintendo variations. Nintendo handhelds are going to die so fast, I feel bad for the DS. Rudedog has a few DS's and he is going to trade them all in, he said the PSP is just so much better as far as functionality and video quality, not to mention the DS has no games whatsoever. I played Wipeout Pure, Twisted Metal and Tony Hawk Underground 2 Remix and they look exactly like their PS2 counterparts ( not sure if Wipeout had a PS2 port). |
I might get one later but right now it is more expensive than an in home console, and the launch titles are rather weak in catering to my gaming tastes.
|
Well I think 2D is the epitome of gaming...therefore I like GBA SP the most.
|
The battery life is a huge turn off for me on the PSP.
|
Im getting doom for GBA..... dance:

LOLOL |
Or one of those old classic game boy cases that looked like a classic gameboy but 4 times bigger, with a classic gameboy inside. Pow
BTW Battery's last around 4-5 hours, with a battery pack by madcatz you get triple that but how long do you expect to play a handheld for without taking a break anyway? |
Too expensive for my blood right now. Maybe I'll pick one up in a bargain bin in Wal*Mart when PSP4 comes out.
They do look impressive, though. |
Ill save my pennies for PS3 thank you.
Of course once they hack the thing to allow games to be played off the MEM STICK - im all over it. |
Cant wait for mine to come dance:

Someone at hardforum got 12 dead pixels... How could that even pass through quality control...? I know Sony's quality sucks, but still.
|
does the PSP have any PDA functions?

I'm having a hard time playing multiplayer games over the internet, I wonder if I have to foreword ports. That and my cordless phone keeps knocking out my connection, time to buy a 5ghz. |
