NCAA 06 is one of the few sports games i would play. It is a lot more challenging than Madden IMO.

I heard that passing is fairly easy, and that RFTH is just Dynasty, except you only control one player and nothing else (like same screens/menus as last year for Dynasty, but when you go to Rosters, you can't change anything but yourself). This true?

i really hope not , cuz i wont bother buying it if thats the case , madden 06 looks pretty sweet with the new passing mode ...

Cpt. Obvious 07-12-2005 09:05 PM

Dropped passes are drastically reduced from last year and makes passing fairly fun. Same on defence if ball hits a defender in the hands 90% of the time he will catch it. The impact player feature is kind of neat. The camera will zoom in on the jukes, stiff arms, and big hits on defence if he is an impact player. And Heisman mode is just like dynasty except you have a dorm room. You can control anybody you want on the team gameplay is the same. You just dont recruit and do all the regular season stuff. Overall best ncaa so far.

annoy: Wait, so RFTH is Dynasty mode except you can't recruit and stuff? That blows. I thought you could only use your player when playing in the games. Like I wanted to be an OG, is that still possible or do I have to use the QB/HB/WR/MLB/DE/etc. as if I were playing a regular game? That would have a least given the mode some uniqueness.

Cpt. Obvious 07-12-2005 09:12 PM

Heisman is just a regular game in which you control everybody. Weird thing is that whatever player you create is awarded a starting position as a freshman.

Thanks for telling me, I now am thorougly disappointed with EA. They made it seem revolutionary, when all it is is a watered down dynasty mode with more cut-scenes and a dorm. This better not be the case with Madden.

My dad preordered that, after I showed him a few vids. It will be the first game he's bought since the original AoE came out.

Im looking forward to it as well... graphics look amazing for a RTS.

Great. Once you get the hang of maneuvering your troops around on the battle map, it's really fun.

The " Battle for Europe " campaign's stragtegy map is pretty simple and somewhat dull. Could be a ton better. All you can do is move your singular General, create alliances/declare war/etc, trade, and upgrade the defenses of your provinces. But the battles you get into and the experience rewards ( Rank, More Troops, etc) are worth it.
