To me camping is waiting for people to respawn and shooting them. Other than that its called defence. The allies objective is to destroy and the axis id to "defend" The Allies need to work as a team to take out the snipers so they can blow up the objective.Random players playing online usually dont work as a team they do the Rambo thing (me too). Camping or defence its just part of the game and its not going to change.

ah yes nothing like respawn killers. especially on omaha. the germans complain about snipers saying "ALLIES DIDN'T STORM THE BEACH WITH SNIPERS" yeah well the germans didn't sit in the boats killing allies.

You guys are a bunch of HENS. Camping, no camping. THIS IS A COMPUTER GAME! KILL OR BE KILLED! There is nothing that says you have to run, walk, sit squat or even move. While this may not ultimately accomplish an objective or whatever you think your goal is it is more realistic. Do you think at Omaha or wherever the battle happened everyone just charged around like chickens with their heads cut off?
No. In real life you are more carefull and yes some people are even chickenshit and don't move at all.
I like to move around and i hate being sniped as much as the next guy. I also hate having to hunt down that last guy that is hiding on top of the building when everyone else is dead. However, that is part of the realism. Finding that sniper that took everyone else out or hunting down that last coward that wasn't good enough to charge the enemy.
I bet if you had only one life instead of being able to tap a damn respawn button 47 times a board we would see a lot more "campers".

Yes there is spawn camping, people actually search out spots to kill when people spawn in. I dont mind snipers..what I do mind is when half the people on either side is a sniper...it is pathetic.

OMFG....this is some how hard to understand? I guess this is now a direct example of why people join objective servers and fart around and piss people off. Same as in CS when I use to play that...terrorsits camping the spawn on Dust...if anyone knows what I am talking about then they know how frustrating this is. What ends up happening...he does nothing to help his team...he is a complete idiot newb who thinks that camping his spawn will some how protect him more....he waste the time of his teammates and the others by sitting there doing nothing. End result team loses and he is punked by an over whelming force...or they let the time run out and they still lose.

If you want to sit in the corner with your gun and think that this stealthy move is going to somehow make you better...go for it. You will die...you will sit there being bored and wasting everyone's time and you will be gang raped by the remainder of the team, and wont have a prayer. It is that simple you don't support your team that is one less gun to suppress the enemy or make them shoot at multiple targets...instead you stay back and hide like a retarded coward only to see multiple attackers swarm on your precious hiding spot and destroy you...and usually humiliate you while they bash you with pistols laughing as they know your a newb. Real helpful and you did not do a damn thing to complete the objective, just embarasse yourself and make people laugh at you.

Let me spell this out to you people...and those of you that have shit 56k who think that excuses you to ignore objectives.

You can camp to your little lifes content on the other 3....but on OBJECTIVE you have guess what...yep an OBJECTIVE to accomplish! Why is this soo fucking hard to understand?

Here is a definition of objective so that the campers understand. Also no an Axis player on Omaha or V2, CAN NOT be a camper as they are trying to defend.

Ok, I'm making this short and sweet:

The term "camping" was probably first invented with Quake. This term was used for someone who hides near a valuable item/weapon, waiting for someone to enter, only to get ambushed.

Since then, camping has evolved. Since now more games open more features, along goes with what is considered "camping". In MOH:AA, if you are NOT defending an objective, and are sitting, waiting for the defenders to find you, YOU ARE A CAMPER.

"Spawn-Killing" also fits under this subject to an extent. When you spawn-kill, you are basically waiting at a point where the other team is more than likly to come back to life (respawn) after they are killed, HOWEVER, you do not need to be hiding in one spot. (camping).

So, THERES UR FRICKIN PROOF, IT EXISTS, NOW STFU!

i agree i detest axis who camp and hide in the boats killing respawners....also i hate the constant "nade" spaming....especially in the hunt and the bridge...cant we kill each other with your primary weapons? i agree with using grenades in certain situations, but everyone throwing all their grenades at once bah it just ticks me off is all lol

Camping is just being useless. I use the sniperrifle as an agressive weapon. In the Hunt for example I snipe at the front or in the middle. And I keep moving. I'm not going to sit somewhere, hiding till I'm the last one standing and be useless.
But remember that not all snipers are bad ppl, some of em move their ass and really support their squad. But some of em just sit and wait...and eventually get killed. Useless.

Camping? When i was in the army it was called holding a position.There is no such a rule as "no Camping".Just go on the offensive and find them and try taking whatever they were holding, We have had some cool battles just taking rooms and roofs from one another.Its a game to have fun in and no crying or complaining.I think team killers are worst than holding a position.It was called house to house fighting and search and destroy. come on get over yourselves and just deal with getting killed once in awhile rather run around like a chicken with its head cut off....go for it if you feel your gonna hold and take cover.

SSgt.Alamo, this is a video game, and therefore have limitations that real life war does not. Most gamers do not wish to have to wait 5 minutes for a person who is camping in their spawn with the TNT. But if he was supposed to defend, say an artillery, and are covering it, waiting for the enemy to arrive, I'm sure that's acceptable.

I like camping. Get a nice fire going watch the birds.. a little fishing.
