Oils keeping Rollie and Pisani is fucking mint. |
zone just sent me this
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=170385&hubname=nhl cry: Thanks for the memories you will always be "The Captain" I see him getting a spot in the front office Who gets the C next year? Lidstrom or Shanny. I would say Probably Lidstrom. Be weird seeing a C on his sweater instead of an A |
Shanny might be out of town...there's rumours..
Holy fucking shit! [url=http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=170400&hubname=nhl:4ea61]Pronger to Anaheim for Lupul[/url:4ea61] |
I can't really decide if the ducks gave to much for him or not.
|
Aaron Ward leaves the canes and signs a 2 yr deal with the rangers
The rebuilding St. Louis Blues added another veteran forward Monday night, signing former Dallas Stars right winger Bill Guerin to a one-year contract. Oilers re-sign Reasoner after trading him to Bruins |
ducks gave up a lot for pronger. 2 #1's and a #2 is a lot in any deal. then throw in a potentially great player in lupol. but now they have arguably the best two dmen in the league. brian burke is a really good gm. he knows what he gave up and what hes getting.
Tanguay rock: i'm still happy about that. but it's going to suck in a couple years. kipper, iggy, phanuef, tanguay, are all players that will want and can get millions. if kipper plays like he has been he'll be a 6 million goalie, and if phaneuf plays like he did, he'll be a 6 mill dman, and if tanguay and iginla click, they'll both be 7 mill. there's no way that we could keep all those players. |
rob blake signed with LA
|
Rangers sign Aaron Ward and Matt Cullen but lost Steve Rucchin to Atlanta.
|
What the fuck is wrong with Dale Tallon in Chicago?? All they've acquired so far is Patrick-fucking-Lalime!! HAW HAW!
Hawks are the worst organization right now. Such a shame for an original 6 team. annoy: |
I think it has been stated by people in the industry that chicago has one of the worst management teams in the league rigt now. it's too bad for them.
PS flames sign tuangay |
Andrew Raycroft signs 3 year 6 mill deal with Toronto.
|
Tanguay: 3 year deal, $5 million in the first year, $5.375 million in the next two seasons.
Flames also signed Jeff Friesen to a one-year, $1.6 million contract. I liked friesen, but i think hes past him prime and i don't know how much he can contribute. plus it said in the paper today that the flames were really close to signing roenick but he chose phoenix instead because his kids go to school there. |
haha, Ed Belfour is in Detroit, but detroit won't touch him until he goes through a tough physical.

Brendan Shanahan has accepted a one-year, $4 million contract offer with the New York Rangers, The New York Post reported Sunday.
The newspaper reported Shanahan, a three-time Stanley Cup winner in Detroit, spurned richer offers from the Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens. The signing was expected to be formally announced on Sunday, the Post reported. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2514278 fuck him if he turned down more money from the wings loney: who the fuck is gonna score goals for the wings ffs. ps we still dont have a goalie |
why does everyone in detroit hate legacy?
and you can get Lidstrom to score your goals |

and its the NHL in whole. Not one single team has even contacted legace. One series against an overachieving team ruined his entire career. He was 3rd in the nhl in GAA and 37 wins for fuck sakes. |
wtf, the flyers hardly have done any roster tweaking

Detroit is tough on thier goalies and QBs. It may not be fair but those 2 positions are tough in Detroit. you have to put up the goods at crunch time. Manny is a good goalie and i dont think he is the reason Edmonton wooped us. I blame the lack of defense, too many turnovers in our zone |
The Chicago Blackhawks acquired right wing Martin Havlat from the Ottawa Senators in a three-team deal that also involved the San Jose Sharks, the team announced Monday.
In addition to Havlat, Chicago received veteran center Bryan Smolinski from Ottawa. The Blackhawks sent defenseman Tom Preissing and prospect Josh Hennessy -- both acquired from the Sharks for center Mark Bell -- with blueliner Michal Barinka to the Senators. Ottawa also received a 2008 second-round pick in the deal. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2514959 |

I saw a hockey game in frankfurt once. One man stabbed another man in the heart with a roundhouse ice skate kick to the chest. It was pretty intense.

Report: Flames coach Sutter leaves bench, remains GM |
yeah, this was the plan from the beginning pretyt much. if not for the lockout, he probably would have done this last year. a lot of people thought he might stay on this year beacuse of the early playoff exit, and to try to get the new offence going, but really this is no suprise to me.
