Milla 10-08-2007 05:50 PM

And he is 2/50 in the playoffs. It matters what you do in the regular season yeah...but if you can't compete when you GET to the playoffs what good are you? Honestly it would be a waste of Detroits money.

Arkan 10-08-2007 10:55 PM

wintersforge 10-12-2007 11:52 PM

back on topic you worhtless slags...impressive display of hitting put on by the RedSox. How is that for small ball you twits!

Milla 10-13-2007 12:40 AM

Rockies are going all the way i think

TonyMontana 10-13-2007 11:47 AM

boston is just too damn good. pretty much 1-9 can be a clutch hitter at any time they need a hit.

theyve yet to play against big game pitchers who strike fellas out. webb etc. have great arms but they dont have nasty stuff (Beckett's stuff is filthy; watch recaps of last nights game!!)..

great to see these fellas put together a nice run but right now the redSox are playing the best post season ball. they arent looking around the clubhouse wondering who will be the next clutch guy. theyve a gameplan every night dna as long as they execute, dont leave fellas on base, and score runs when they can instead of relying on long ball... dont be surprised if schilling pitches a no-no...

oh hi welcome to baseball...see webb and beckett are basically the same guy

they struck out the same amount of people this year, and for their career average 5.5 Ks a game each oh and webb has won a cy young(beckett should win this year) and for their careers webb avg about 176 K a year and beckett 150ish..

let alone the rockies beat cole hamels from philly in game one of that series and that kid averages 6.5 Ks a game for his career

so yes the rockies have faced some big game pitchers who strike fellas out

I'll say it again, Rockies are going all the way this year.

And Shilling pitch a no hitter? rofl i dont think so, Don Larsen was the only one to pitch a perfect game in the post season and it will probably never happen again.

Forte 10-13-2007 11:45 PM

Yankees are gonna win!

Nyck 10-16-2007 08:56 AM

Rockies with the sweep and on to the world series...amazing!

the thing they need to get over is they will have 9 days off before they play again.

Indians up 2-1...fuck a dice-k

Milla 10-16-2007 11:05 AM

Lets go Indians!

Rockies have won 21 of their last 22 games or some amazing shit like that

Pyro 10-16-2007 01:37 PM

after red sox won game 1 of the ALCS i got shit on by allt he red sox fans I know (one being bucky) and now they go and choke in the 11th then get beat again...lol red sox suck...guess they gotta shut up now

Rockies winning it all though but my prediction after the division series of indians-rockies is half way true now.

Milla 10-21-2007 07:10 PM

I cant believe you guys paid that much money for him

Coleman 10-21-2007 07:53 PM

hahha one of my roommates paid for a $150 bus ticket to travel to Boston to buy tickets for the games. He got there after 14 hours (big lol at him) and then waited in line for tickets for game 6. once they won that one, he got back in line for game 7 tickets.

Arkan 10-21-2007 10:49 PM

Sox in the W.S.............Where's Pyro now?

TonyMontana 10-21-2007 11:11 PM

And they dont need to put up with his old school baseball coaching anymore. He never bunts, steals or hit and runs. The days of the long ball are going out the window.

They gave him that deal so he would intentionally say no so they wouldn't have to rehire him. They knew he would refuse it.

hate to break it to you but those things you mentioned above ARE what old school guys do.

the newer systems take less chance on creating outs from steals, bunts (because the percentages are so low), and focus on creating runs by taking pitches leading to walks.

Milla 10-23-2007 12:35 PM

Take a look at how the Rockies, the Diamondbacks, and the Angels got to where they were. All i am saying is its time for something new. 12 years as a manager for one team is a very long time. I love Torre but its time to make a switch and clean house imo.

Pyro 10-24-2007 03:14 PM

No DH = Rockies advantage

having to sit either youkillis or ortiz will kill them

Holliday > Manny

Outside of Beckett...the red sox can lick my nuts...Beckett is sick though.

Rockies in 5

Milla 10-24-2007 04:20 PM

Marlins worst trade getting rid of Beckett.

Airborne Butters 10-24-2007 04:54 PM

There's no denying the Sox are hot right now. On paper it looks like they have the edge over the Rockies. Sox are notorious for choking though. They've really only got 3 pitchers though. Daisuke, Schilling and Becket. Now compare that to the fact that they've played lackluster offensive teams. The Indians had decent hitting and the Angels hitting was more or less a joke. The Angels got into the playoffs because of their division. I think the Sox are up against a real wall when it comes to the Rocks. Holliday and Matsui are hitting HOT right now. Granted the Rocks have some rookie pitching, but their defense is pretty good. Compare that to the fact that Sox only have bats and pitching to rely on. Now when I say rely on, I mean look at the fact that Rockies are hitting so good and chewing through really good opposing pitchers. Plus it's still up in the air how the Sox are going to use David Ortiz. Ortiz is pretty much their main weapon, but how or where he'll see playing time in the field is laughable. Top that off with the fact that Coors field has so many deep pockets in the outfield, it's going to be a wonder to see how Manny gets to those.

In the short, I'm going with the Rocks. I see the Rocks in 6.

ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME..lol

Beckett has been injury riddle his entire career and never won over 9 games in his career before the last 3 (2 with boston)

let alone the fact that his ERA last year was 5 and his career era is like 3.8

Oh and nevermind the fact that the marlins got HANLEY FUCKING RAMIERZ for him who is sweet as fuck 51 sb a year averages like .312 hit 29 HR this year and is a run scoring machine and argueably the best SS in baseball right now.

Beckett has been all flash and no substance his entire career he finally puts it all together for 1 year and you guys are fucking blowing him like hes fuckin Nolan Ryan.

Justin Verlander > Beckett
