hehe, anyone got any comments on this fine point?

Japple 06-09-2001 07:17 AM

DJK...All I am saying is that you waste your time complaining about how there should be blood in the game. You know there is not going to be so stop your whining.

You have way to much time on your hands and you should think about doing something meaningful for once. Not complaining on some forum about how there should be blood...jeez

I challenge you to post something that does not have to do with blood and gore...ok?

Japple 06-09-2001 08:40 AM

DJK...Do you actually have the time to sit there at your computer and say to yourself, "I want blood and gore in this game to make it realistic. And if there is not going to be any i am going to complain. "

Give me a break...how bout we all drop it? ok

Hells-Angel 06-09-2001 08:45 AM

"just shut up the topic was over before and your just fighting for something you'll never get so I suggest we all just ignore djk"

Oh, yes, ignore me. That's always better than considering a good point. God knows if I disagree w/you, I must be an idiot.

"You have way to much time on your hands and you should think about doing something meaningful for once."

I still don't understand what my having free time has anything to do w/it.

"The one thing that stands out in Saving Private Ryan is the blood and gore, but there have been WW2 movies made long ago that are just as good without the blood and gore."

Actually, I disagree. I've seen some of those old WWII movies, the way they just throw their hands up in the air and fall over when they're hit, no blood or anything. It's pretty corny, and quite hard to take seriously. Saving Private Ryan blows those movies away.

"This game is being made available to a greater audience because the blood and gore is being left out, and you know what, I say good work 2015 and EA."

They could just have eaisly made it available to a greater audience by simply having a choice whether you want blood and gore when you first install, or having some sort of violence lock. By totally leaving blood and gore out, they exclude those who can handle it and feel it adds greatly to the realism.

I guess in the end, it comes down to what you're looking for in a war/combat fps. I personally am looking for as realistic an experence I can get, and having blood and gore when people get shot/blown up is a big part of it. Since MOH:AA won't have any, it won't be very realistic. Because of this, I probably won't be buying it. I have NO interest in a war game that's been toned down so it's approprate for little children.

"If you think blood is such an important part of a game why dont you go buy RtCW and SoF2, but if you dont buy this game you WILL be missing out on a game that will be just as good if not better than those 2 put together."

I'm not sure what "RtCW" stands for, but don't count out SOF2. It will no doubtly have some VERY realistic combat, and w/GHOULII, it'll make MOH:AA look like a kids game(which it just might be).

The bottom line, I'm looking for REALISTIC combat. Not, AS realistic as it can be and still be suitable for children.

Well, I will probably enjoy the game even without the blood. It will still probably be great. But, when I'll be playing I'll be thinking of what could have been if this game did indeed have blood or gore. It would have been cool to see a guy looking around the beach for his arm. It would have REALLY added to the atmosphere. War is messy, and there are a lot of sick things that soldiers would see in battle. For example, from the book All Quiet on The Western Front, there was a part when a soldier was running towards his trench with both of his feet missing. That's right, he was running on stumps. Or in another part, some guy was running with a part of his head missing while running through no man's land. If I saw that in the game I would be freaked out, and that's what would make it more chilling, exiting and even a bit better. If there was at least blood in the game it would still add to the atmosphere. Like if a guy gets shot in the arm and then blood starts dripping from it gives me a completely different feeling than seeing a guy get shot in the arm and the nothing happeing to the arm. I still find it very weird that the swastika and the Waffen SS are in this game since products that include these are banned in many European countries. WWII Online doesn't have the swastika nor the SS in their game, but they still have blood. Anyway these are my points of view, and I will still play this game no matter what because this game is like a dream come true. I always wanted to play an fps that took place in Europe during WW2 after I played Wolfenstein. Kudos 2015!

DJK, give it up, I mean it, really, your cries are falling on deaf ears, nothing you possibly say will change EA's and 2015's stance on this subject, No blood and gore means exactly that, NO BLOOD AND GORE !!!! I've just had a marathon of 3 days straight playing the orignal games on PSX. I cant actually believe how awesome these games are, the lack of blood doesnt effect it at all, it's just eye candy which doesnt change a damn thing in the overall game. This game is being made available to a greater audience because the blood and gore is being left out, and you know what, I say good work 2015 and EA. With a greater audience and more people buying the game, that means possible add ons, expansion missions, so on so forth which I think is great. The one thing that stands out in Saving Private Ryan is the blood and gore, but there have been WW2 movies made long ago that are just as good without the blood and gore. If you think blood is such an important part of a game why dont you go buy RtCW and SoF2, but if you dont buy this game you WILL be missing out on a game that will be just as good if not better than those 2 put together.
Thats my final say on this topic.
