i think they are trying to stay away completely from the rambo style . maybe they decrease/increase the incidence of getting shot overall especially in omaha where anyone can get shot as you're advancing up the beach . also increased difficulty can be proportional to the amount of enemies you'll face in the missions and of course the amount of extra ammo availiable to pick up . i dont know how you can translate an arm injury to a FPS but sounds interesting . what i'm wondering about is how your squad's AI will perform in all these situations . for example by looking at the ingame trailer , it seems like they are roaming around you in a given radius instead of following you like in R6 .

Ludacris 06-25-2001 11:48 AM

first of all its an action game, there not trying to go for full out simulation, sit on your ass and take a shit in the middle of a forest game here buddy, its an action game alright, most of your ideas have been pointless gayness goin on that is true but cant all be added into the game, so quit putting in good ideas,

If you take a bullet in the arm it should be harder to hold your gun still while aiming.

Polaris 06-25-2001 11:57 AM

lol...where did that come from

Hells-Angel 06-25-2001 11:59 AM

yeah Dickonwheels, I havent heard you say anything positive in this entire forum! And a lot of the things you say are just to root for your buddy waffen, or to stir up a dispute. So please spare us some ignorance and dont say things like "you probably dont give a rats about WW2." this was clearly spoken from anger and ignorance. And no i wont just "not read your posts" because they are all over the place. So please, lets not fight as much

Hey, I happen to really enjoy Quake3!

BallisticWookie 06-28-2001 10:04 AM

Yeah, what the hell is wrong with Quake 3 ?? It's an awesome game.

billybob 06-29-2001 09:14 AM

I agree with Ludacris. I hope this game dosent turn into one of those totally gay and pointless peices of shit (a.k.a Operation flashpoint) one of those games where is so realistic its not even fun to play. I prsonnaly like games like SoF realsitic to a degree but not boring and dumb.

When you judge games it's best to put "IMO" beside it because in this case not everyone agrees with you! IMO, and many others (look at the reveiws) OPF is a great game, adding many new features to the genre (ex. getting into vehicles). If you don't like something it doesn't mean it's bad or it sucks, it just means you don't like it. I don't like sports games, that does not mean they suck, it means they are something I do not enjoy.

-Also, how can a game like men?

riesep 06-29-2001 10:59 AM

How old are all you guys. I'm beginning to know you quite well and I'm trying to gues at your ages. This may be way too early, but won't it be fun playing each other in a deathmatch or something. I might even consider playing with some of you in co-op, but I can tell some of you would have fun blowing my head off. Man I can't wait to get this game. 2015 better pull off a good game so games like this will stick to the pc. And hopefully the other new MOH games come to the pc like Metal Gear Solid.

BallisticWookie 06-30-2001 12:18 AM

Damn, Billybob, if you've even picked up the game Operation Flashpoint you wouldnt be saying that about it, It's incredibly immersive and realistic. Sometimes one hit is all it takes and your dead, which is great. It makes you play that much smarter.( It gets on your nerves sometimes, but thats life ) Knocking a game and calling it "gay" and a "pointless piece of shit" is completely immature and brainless, if you've got some constructive critism about a game by all means share it, but saying something like that is childish and you need to grow up Billybob. OFP is worth every cent.

Hells-Angel 06-30-2001 12:42 AM

I played the demo and I pulled off some cool audie murphy stuff, I ran ahead shot 3 russians then we charged the town and I ran through first as I heard bullets kicking all around me, quite a fun experience

OK guys, back to the original reason for this forum...

Here's an example of what I think Waffenampt is trying to say: If I am a german sniper with a K43 with a zf41, and I shot you in the arm from a couple hundred meters; A 7.92mm round, traveling at more than one and a quarter miles per second, would make you feel like you were getting hit by a truck. you probibly wouldn't just walk it off, you wouldn't be just un-able to use that arm any more. You would be in shock, on the ground and crying for a medic (and morphine). This just shows you, one hit WILL make you a casualty.
