despite the fact i come from a catholic italian family (my god... the stories i have to tell) i choose to believe in what i feel is right and what is wrong. its my right as an american, and as a human being to think for myself and not be subjected to what anyone else thinks. do i think there is a god? yes. why? because without a god, there would be no hope, no one to turn to, no one to pull us together. life itself would be reasonablly pointless. you live... then die. thats it? there has to be some reason we were put on earth. |

This isn't any different form the Canada vs. USA arguments we have. Some people believe in God etc. some don't. DOn't try to change each others opinions. Its easy to disregard the Bible as fiction when you haven't read it. I can easily say the writings of other major religions are fiction but to intelligently discuss the issue I would have to at least do a little homework to form a valid opinion.
