Martin seems too nice to be a coach. Well I guess he does something right holding on to a coaching job for 9 years.

anyway...

I have no idea.

He grew up in St. Albert, just outside of Edmonton, so it's probably from their yearbook or something like that.

"CBC drew 3.063 million viewers for Tuesday's broadcast of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final, making it the second-highest rated NHL game ever for the network. Only Game 7 of the 1994 final between Vancouver and the New York Rangers drew more viewers, with 4.957 million tuning in to watch the 3-2 Rangers win."

This recoprd is going to be broken before we're done I bet.

Thats Canada remember, not the states.

"It was a different story in the U.S., where Tuesday's game tied for the lowest-rated Stanley Cup final game on ESPN since 1990. Game 1 was watched by an average of 1,013,000 people. That translates into a rating of 1.1, which is down from 1.4 for last year's first game. Of the 34 Stanley Cup final games the network has televised since 1990, only Game 2 of last year's series between New Jersey and Anaheim had a rating as low. "

3 million people in Canada watch the game - thats 10% of the entire country. Thats pretty high. As for the states it was 1 million which is what? 0.004% I believe.

Just imagine if 2 Canadian teams made it. Like Edmonton - Toronto or Vancouver - Montreal, EVERYONE would watch that sucker.

Pyro 05-27-2004 06:23 PM

Well if toronto made it to the cup in 1993...to play Montreal...I'm sure if that happened that total would of never been broken...

When the leafs make it...soon I hope...it will easilly beat that record.

bukdez 05-27-2004 07:42 PM

yep... i agree Leafs final would draw over 5 million easy... but, good job Flames...
