Nope. Just regular shit. . .gaming, watching movies, maybe some ADOBE work - nothing that I need three half-pipes and Sli-Water-Cooling. . .o_0 How much different is the x800XT from the x850 - cause I can get an 800xt for 100 bucks less - refurbished but still warrantied.[/quote:77b3d] See if you can check some benchmarks on Tomshardware or another review site like that: I'm sure you will find a difference of 10-20 fps between those cards, so it's all about what you're playing and how you will be doing so (AA, settings...) |

This threads getting some action over the last coupleof days eek:
First off, x800gto 2 from ocuk comes pre unlocked to 16 pipes,. its just a matter of you setting the core and memory clock with ati tool, and seeing as its an r480 core you should at least get x800xt-pe speeds from it. Saying that id still say to get an x1800xl or 7800gt, x800 isn't getting any younger and is starting to show its age in some games. Eds pc: Depends on how much you wanna spend: Motherboard = DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D cpu = 3800- single core or a better dual core varient, since games are starting to use dual core (quake 4-cod2) its probably the better investment as well as being better for multitasking in windows. Graphics, 7800gt\x1800xl, 2 newer cards supporting all the new buzzwords like hdr\sm3.0. x800 series while still good is starting to look crippled in games like fear so theyre kinda out of the window in terms of what id buy at this stage. spank: |

[quote="TGB!":5c25c]Im upgrading the components in my computer and need to know what I should get, what I should be looking for.
Right now: Motherboard - should be able to fit in an ATX tower. Not looking to upgrade case. CPU - no fucking clue. Both above should last be able to last me for awhile, to accomodate future Vid Cards should the need arise. Video Card - Anything that can run shit at 12x10 without having to jack shit down to LOW.[/quote:5c25c] NF4 ultra mobo from Asus, Abit, or DFI (if you're adventurous) CPU: $200 range just grab a A64 3200+ $300 go with a A64 3800+ dual core Video: Low: 6800GS High: 7800GT/X, 1800XT |
shiiiiiiit
the graphics card I want is out of stock......cuss: What should I do here? buy everything except the graphics card, and build the system without it, then when it is in-stock just buy it and pop it into the already built computer. Or should I just wait and get it all in one fell swoop? |
