well , lets wait and see what BS decides . it still isnt final that he is going to do this . it might be too hard to do .

plus , two or three months from now , when a newbie asks you "when will he become a Lieutenant Colonel ?" ...wouldn't it be easier to tell him that its when he reaches 1100 or 1200 posts instead of a crazy number like 1024 or 2048 ?

Good idea. It'll be tough to script though, the only thing I could think of is if I can make it so that you can choose which side you want to be in your profile when you register or edit, then it will rank you accordingly. Hell that's not too tough, maybe I could do it when I have more time on my hand. Someone will need to provide me with a list of the German military ranking though.
