It is possible. When it comes down to it all, there is only 1 major cheat that can be used and cannot be detected. That would of course be Chameleon Skins. Now depending on the people you choose, it would affect the level of security given to the contest.

In conclusion, if you have the right contestants and admins that have a sharp eye for cheats, then yes this can be done legit.

Yes, it is highly possible to cheat and still win unnoticed. Even with Chameleon Skins or a WallHack, one can still know where others are while "pretending" not to know, and just happen to "stumble" on to them and kill them everytime. I have seen this time and time again, and makes it difficult for admins to spot cheaters using these cheats.

The only real method of cheat detection is with admins in spec-mode with a sharp eye for things. If you are indeed holding this contest tomorrow, then I would suggest at least 5 trusting persons in spec-mode watching all the players. This way, you can at least try to combat any cheats that may arise during the contest.

Of course run Delator anyways. Just as an added protection.

judging by the people hosting this tourney, the people registering, etc. this wont be ur average contest. i can see this thing crashing and burning, or the admins calling cheater everytime they see a good player. either that or everyones gonna cheat, and admins wont pick up shit. either way people are gonna cheat in this.. i mean come on playing for money? not hard to go download some skill in 2 seconds, 2 hours later ur 62 dollars richer.

You have a good point. When the idea of money is thrown into the pot, the cheaters are sure to come out of the wood-works for the chance to get some cash.

I suggest playing for bragging rights versus money. Should eliminate the chance that cheats will arise during the contest.

Ok, we have had allot of feed back in the past few days, mostly concern that this is not legit! So we have decided to run tomorrows contest for FREE and Arkitek and myself will put up the $62.00. That's right! If you wanna play in our Free For All Tournament tomorrow night, you can do so and you dont have to pay anything. Now then: There will be only 1 (one) winner! That will be the person with the most kills at the end of the 15 min. There is no 2nd or 3rd place. I repeat there is no 2nd or 3rd place!
