You can play in any theatre of war in the game and as any unit...
|
Battlefield 1942 has the same concept as Codename Eagle. And yes... you can put all your teammates on the deck of a battleship.
IMO I think Battlefield 1942 (if they get it right) will be more popular because of the land, air, and sea features. |
I want to see a game which tells it how it was, like in the pacific campaign it wasnt just the americans it was the brits, candians, new zealand, australia, india, and many others.
|
I'm gunna buy it, it looks awesome, and it isnt jsut western front, the vid i saw was in the pacific, and its supposed to have mroe japanese battles i think...

Screenshots are cool, but the video really sucks... the guys run really too faster, I hate non-realistic like this..

Except for planes ... if someone makes a vehicle mod for MOH:AA .. it may not be better.
MOH:AA has a real nice feel to the gameplay. They'd have to match up to that to even compare - otherwise if the movement is fast like in RTCW.. puke. |

Like the garand doesnt fire as fast as u can fire, it always jams up, same with the sniper rifles. After playing MOHAA it's an incredible relief to play the smooth and awesome gameply of Counter-strike. I thought the vidoes for Battliefield 1942 were sweet, thats from an early version too |
I am really interested in Battlefield 1942 for the air warfare. Planes will rule all.

my god, this game seems too good to be true..Fly p-47s, bombers, jap fighters, and drive a shitload of armor. Just from watchin the video and seeing how easy and smooth those flight controls were ( with the mouse and keyboard!) was amazing. The mulitplayer of this game has great potential, and if this Digital Illusion company gets the right combination of gameplay and presentation, it could easily ousts the likes of CS and quake 3.

I wonder if there are enough planes in a MP game to make a flight Squadron. Huge Dogfights! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

"There sure is a single-player element in the game, and it is not only there to prepare you for your multiplayer sessions, but also to give you an exciting experience even if you don't have an Internet connection.
There will be four different campaigns, which take you to North Africa, the Pacific, Western Europe, and Eastern Europe. Each of these will let you take part of some of the most famous battles during the whole war as a member of either the Axis or Allied forces. There will be more than a dozen missions for both sides. Each mission will contain one or more tasks for you to complete. Unlike many games, where your choice of actions is very limited, Battlefield gives you a goal to accomplish but doesn't tell you how to do it. Can you take the risk to close up on the village through the minefield, or would you rather try to call in the artillery and then grab a Sherman tank to go head-to-head with the well-dug-in Tiger tank?" That ^ and a bunch of other things in the Battlefield 1942 Q & A made me want this game quite a bit. The Videos were pretty sweet too. ------------------ http://www.tr1gun.homestead.com/files/mcdonald.jpg |
