put them on a show like Jerry Springer and give the fight- -breaker-upper/bouncer the day off and see how long they last against the audience

Sadly it wont be classified as attempted murder, simply because they did feed the child, just not on a regular schedule. This is child abuse to the 100th degree, no bones about it. And I dont think either parents are going to be getting a "Rally To Free The Crazies" going in their honor. So the half-mil each pretty much garuntees them a place in county until they're sent to jail or something. It's pretty obvious the kids wont be going back with the parents.
