[quote="11 Bravo":28c54]I never had a whole lot of cash when I was young, and my parents never bought me one (some people have to work to earn their stuff biggrin: ) so I was pretty late on the scene too. got the SNES and played it for hours on end. Amazingly, that was my first console. Of course, I would go over to my friends' houses when I needed to and use theirs. lol, used them for there video games.[/quote:28c54]

Hey dont sweat it - my mother only ever bought us the NES and a couple games. We stole the rest.

I remember when the 3D0 came out. We had the fighting game (that had Rob Zombies music in it), and the racing game. Both were kick ass, but the 3D0 was doomed to fail. I remember playing as this redneck who spit liquor on you and then set you on fire. Ahhhhh good times.

I got a NES on my 6th birthday, came with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt cartridge, and tetris. I never once removed the SMB cartridge for like 5 years.
I never clocked it on the console.....My sister did it twice, but I always fucked up on 8 - 2....!

I only clocked it for the first time yesterday, using an emulator.

I remember later on, getting games like: Trog, Hook (The game of the movie), Tennis, and Golf....

speaking of doomer consoles, whyd the DC have to die? God im like the only one who loved that system. Sould Calibur, Sonic Adventures 1/2, Crazy Taxi 1/2, etc.

I WILL MISS YOU OLD DREAMCAST

I would play it, but my RGB or whatever cable its called (one with red, white, and tellow wires) is fucked, the sound wont work. Anyone wanna sell me theirs?

The DC died because the PS2 came out later, and kicked it's ass and there was nothing the DC could do about it. It had lackluster games, and no long range appeal. It just wasn't a system that could compete with both PS2 and the looming Gamecube and XBOX. Hell it couldn't even compete with the PSX.

But yes, it did have some sweet games on it - Jet Grind Radio, Zamba De Amigo, Code Veronica (another RE game that scared my pants off), Skies Of Arcadia (best RPG for DC), and numerous fighting games. Everything else just sucked SOOOO bad it couldn't keep up.

And we're talking OLD SKOOL here. NES, SNES, SEGA, ATARI, JAGUAR - hell even 3D0 qualifies.
