a guy I work with told me he was getting a meal at macdonalds and there were two teenagers in the back room, making burgers and whatnot.. anyways, he saw them spit right into the burgers, THATS FUCKING SICK, so he yelled "MANAGER! LOOK WHAT THEY'RE DOING!" so the manager took care of it and gave my co-worker a fre meal, so he wouldnt say anything to other customers.

I fired anyone who didn't come through the door with a doctor's note, because if you weren't bad enough to see the doc, you were good enough to be at work.

I have often made the mistake of going to classes when I was sick, being Gung-Ho like that only gets you complications and more missed classes/workdays.

Im a manager also at my job and i have to agree with noctis on some points, I have employees come in pretending to be sick, like they will fake cough and shit and be like can i go to the restroom to throw up and im like sure just one sec sure enough 5 minutes later they are fine and forgot they had to throw up or whatever rolleyes: so in short dont be a fucking moron at wrk and pretend you sick because at work, who the fuck really cares? Hell all the times i asked off b/c i was sick it was to bad for me b/c i was a fucking manager so fuck all the ppl under me they can deal with the saem shit i had to

christ you guys are all dicks. do you like working if your sick? no i dint think so then why do you make your workers do it!?! cuss: why dont you guys set up a system wher for every 100 hours you work you get a sick day. if you dont take one in 300 hours then you can take 3 days off if your sick. if you use them all up & get sick then tough, then you have a right to say no.

I call bullshit on that. Its fucking pussies who go to the doctor because they have a fucking COMMON cold that make it so that people can never get appointments for real things.

I've been so sick at points in my life that i've taken baths with bags of ice in the water, while still sweating. I still didnt see a damn doctor. So saying you should have a doctors note is bullshit. Hell The one time i did go to the emegency room my ankle was the bigger than a softball and purple. I didnt even think to ask the doc for a note for work. Mostly cause i didnt give a fuck about work, my ankle was the size of a FUCKING SOFTBALL. I called in that night and said i wasnt going to be to work that night, and probably wouldnt be in that week. The boss was pissed and told me to get a note. I told him i couldnt because i went to the ER and didnt think about it. One of my co-workers i had been playing paintball with drove me, and was able to tell my boss what happened, so he was less pissed. Come to find out the ass hole thought i was trying to take a vacation. I went back 3 days later cause i couldnt afford to miss work, my shoe didnt fit, i could barely walk, and i never did fill the prescription for pain killers.

I've shown to work so fucking sick before that everyone tells me to go the fuck home. But if i just call in they treat you like shit the next time you come in.

Frankly i think you should hire better workers. Treat them with some fucking respect so they dont mind working for you. Then maybe when they call in sick they'll mean it. Instead of calling in because they hate you, and there job.

The last 3 jobs I have had , I could call out sick all I wanted. Just means I don't get paid.

Try and call in sick when you have clients that are expecting you to be there.

Try calling out sick when you have a bonus on the line.

Try calling out sick when you have a familly to support.

Art , I suggest that next year after your birthday , you leave this piece of shit company and get a job that will value you and that you will value as well.

Any decent work place will have some sort of vacation or leave plan , that will give you the abillity to take a sick day every once in awile.

Uhh... No. Unless he is a valuable employee who makes them millions of dollars, but if that was the case, they wouldn't be having this meeting.

If you can, get a doctor to write you a note saying that you were/are sick.

Like I said I talked to Scary Mary and he said no meeting so yeah I worked saturday and it was ok but still crappy becuase i'm still sick. Right now i'm trying to secure another job so I can quit, becuase I don't want to quit and then be out of a job for god knows how long.
