I voted for Schindler's List, because it is one of the few movies that makes you think. Not only that, there are many examples of symbolism in the movie, which exercise your mid and allow you to interpret what each means and how it contributes to the movie as a whole. I also think that it is honorable that Schindler's List does not rely solely on shock value to get the point across. The majority of the movie focuses on the story of Oskar Schindler, not the living conditions and atrocities committed in the death camps. Yes, there are some violent and degrading scenes, but most of the violence is emotional rather than physical.

Schindler's List is not exactly the kind of movie that you would want to sit down and watch for entertainment purposes alone, but the experience you get out of it makes up for it not being your typical movie. The story is great, the atmosphere is great, the symbolism is great, anad the main theme piece that is played is one of the deepest pieces John Williams has ever done. This all adds up to make Schindler's List one of the top ten movies of all time, in my opinion.

I dont think no other film has ever portrayed man's inhumanity to a fellow man than Schindler's list.

And my favourite quote from the movie:

"True power is having every means to pass out justice and not doing so. That is true power".

The Pianist was really good too. I would watch it over SPR.

Two totally different movies. The only simularities are that they are based in the same time peroid. That's like comparing Ghostbusters with My Little Pony. With that being said, I'd choose SPR, because I'm more of a war-buff, than a holocaust buff.
