For some odd reason I feel like Jerry Seinfeld listening to one of Kramer's idiotic ideas.

For one thing, judging from the level of my tank and my average use, I will need to get gas soemtime between May 14 and 17; so I won't be buying gas on the 19th anyway.

Secondly unless you plan to use your car less and use less gas total rather than not purchasing it on the 19th only to tank up on the 20th, this "plan" will not work

Thirdly, did I mention how asinine this plan is?

i spend like 15 bucks every month to every other month on gas rock:[/quote:44404]

thats nice, Im glad you drive 40 miles a month. Some of us have jobs, families and responsibilities. I could go buy some Jap crap but being from the Detroit area Ill gladly drive an American made product. (it was acatually made in Canada!) I moved my family closer to work to offset the cost of gas. My drive went from 1 hour to 5 mins.

what does Jap crap have anything to do with it. Japans cars are popular because they are dependable, affordable (would be even more if tarrifs were lifted), and get great gas mileage. Maybe if GM and other American cars would learn to compete with Japan instead of relying on tarrifs and 'patriotic' customers there would be less 'Jap crap.'

Your neighbors can go work at Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi too, you know. Job insecurity is partly caused by a soft market. If GM wont compete by investing in better vehicles (not saying that 500 varieties of mini vans arent an investment), then its their own fault they have to lay off thousands of employees.
