Why are you asking me?
wow, i never heard so many complaints about contact lenses. I wear them more than my glasses. I might fall asleep with them in a few nights in a row and nothing bad happens. I just blink about 10 times and then i can't even tell they're in. I probably wear my glasses when i get out of the shower and then to bed...that's about it.[/quote:acb8d]

Sleeping with lenses is jsut bad. The next morning your eyes just feel dry as hell. Do you use eye drops?
I have glasses, but I am thinking of getting some new frames. Right now I have some small round ones that do not fit well with my face, what do you guys think about those cool black square glasses on me?[/quote:eed11]
I have asked, and most people like me with my glasses, and not contacts. So now I need to find the sexiest pair of glasses ever, who will help me in this quest.[/quote:eed11]

You can't really go wrong with a pair of glasses like these;

wearing lenses for more two days? You guys are just nuts!!! oOo: oOo: oOo: oOo: oOo: Seriously lenses make your eyes dry depriving it of moisture = uncomfortable like hell.

It doesn't bother me one bit. My dad once took a 20 min nap with his lenses in and he had to get them surgically removed; he couldn't take them out himself. I guess it depends on the person.

I would not sleep in your contacts unless they were designed to be worn like that. I used to do that all the time, but the last time I went to the eye doctor she could tell I was doing it and told me to stop. The blood vessels in your eyes get larger and more pronounced to make up for the lack of oxygen getting to your eye. The end result if you do it long enough is having bloodshot eyes 24/7/365.

I barely need my glasses but astigmatism isn't limited by distance so if it
gets worse, I won't hesitate to get surgery.
i wear contact lenses. When I get older, i'll probably try to get the surgery.[/quote:2ff87]

Same here, I sleep in my contacts every now and then and they dont bother me either when I wake up..

Parents both wear em, brother will probably need em soon enough, my sights pretty much perfect.

Trunks 06-02-2004 06:19 PM

Hate glasses, but i have to wear them to see far away. Im looking into something that was mentioned in a book I have though. Ill quote it for you guys. "Orthokeratlogy involves wearing special contact lenses that have a better curviture than the cornea. The cornea adapts to the lenses by changing shape. By modifying the shape of the cornea through a series of contact lenses, most people return to normal or near normal vision within a year. This concept is like using dental braces to straighten teeth." If that doesn work, then I guess Ill settle for surgery.

gtboys34 06-02-2004 06:20 PM

yep, had em for about 2 months now and soon im gonna make the switch to contacts
