i like them both, but Dream Theater's skill > Blind Guardian altogether.

Blind Guardian's music is corny too. "I AM A WARRIOR OF THE NIGHT! FEAR ME AND MY MAGICAL BLADE! THE DRAGON FLIES!! I HAVE THE RING, I SHALL NOT FEAR DEATH!"

sorry.. but i have all the CDs of both bands.. and DT wins overall... if BG had better lyrics it would be closer.. but they just fall short in that area

BGs live album is pretty good as well.

not compared to the DT ones man... theyre good overall.. but DT overshadows them completely

Their "A Night with Dream Theater" show in NYC was absolutely mindblowing. they played EVERYTHING i wanted them to play, cept for Lines in the Sand and Under a Glass Moon, but other than that, i was very very satisfied. Going to see them again this summer with Yes. Already got the tickets.
