"Emergency workers had to remove some sliding glass doors and lift the couch, with Grinds still on it, to a trailer behind a pickup truck. Removing her from the couch would be too painful, since her body was grafted to the fabric. After years of staying put, her skin had literally become one with the sofa and had to be surgically removed."

how can you stay in a place so long without moving? that is freackin sad

Doesn't make sense though really, even the world's now deceased fattest man (who was like 900lbs+) moved around. Maybe she was in some sort of coma and their dumbass caretakers didn't really do anything helpful, except feed her. I'll applaud anybody who can find anymore info. This is by far the most interesting thing I've read in awhile. I mean, grafted to a couch -- how sci-fi. It is almost medically impossible to stay in one spot for so long unless you're dead (even coma patients were shifted around to prevent bedsores). I mean, bedsores can get pretty nasty (Example VERY GRAPHIC: http://www.worldortho.com/database/oste ... is/39.html ).
Who knows, maybe it's like that movie Se7en. Some sick fucker could've pumped her full of drugs, held her there against her will while fattening her up like cattle. |
bloody hell
