I've always asked myself though, "What happens to the people in Africa, for example, that don't even know about Christianity? Would they ever make it into heaven?"

If I'm not mistaken most Christ based religions require you to accept Jesus as your savior...failure to do so would mean that you would be cast into hell for your sins.

Yeah, but I always wondered about the uninformed people. I know they can't get to heaven without being baptized, but I was wondering if they have a "pergatory/limbo-type" of place to go? Gotta ask a priest that sometime.

Im not a religious man but ive heard about a guy who wrote a book on all the levels of hell. There were 9 total and each level was a different degree of sin. The lower levels were the worst. I think he said that the first level was designated to people who werent baptized. I forgot most of the other levels but I think the 3rd was people who committed suicide and murderers.

After you die your soul returns the Summerland where it rests until it is time for you to be reincarnated. Whether you worship the God and Goddess or not, if you've been a good person you are allowed into Summerland to eventually be reborn.

If I'm not mistaken... that book of whoch you speak is Dante's Inferno. It's all about a happy little tour of Hell.

Yea i think your right. I remember now one of the worst things you could do was be a traitor. i think that was either the last or second to last level.

Im going to the fifth level apparently.

Fifth Level of Hell

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx.
