Oh any by the way, I don't think there's any way that those bodies could be american soldiers. Look how decomposed they are. I don't think that amount of decomposition can happen in this amount of time. Maybe I should consult a biologist.

I wonder how much of an effect that the hot sand would have on the body and how quickly that would start the dehydration of the corpse.

i'm pretty sure that the hot sand does dehydrate bodies but has a preserving effect, like in mummification... therefore simply looking at the level of decomposition could be misleading...
