CFL has only 3 downs
CFL has only 1 timeout per half
CFL has 110 yd field
CFL if you miss the field goal, the other team can try and return it
CFL receivers can be in motion before the snap therefore longer passes are available.

It's a more quicker paced game, i cant stand when watching nfl games when both teams use up all their timeouts in a 5 minute span. Play...timeout...next play....timeout....another play.....timeout...YAWNZZZZ

cfl is full of mediorce players and has-beens...the fact that the GOD of cfl is doug flutie should tell you all that you need to know and you can return a missed FG in the NFL as well it was done by the ravens for a TD a few years ago.

no one ever does it though because you would end up getting shitty field position

christ the XFL was cfl lite...same basic rules...

and yes the lions are pretty bad to watch right now

1 I didnt know they used yards in the CFL, I thought it would be meters
2 I had no idea they (the CFL) were in the playoffs, oops my bad
3 the Lions have always sucked and always will suck, no matter who coaches, no matter who plays, no matter who watches
4 College football owns all!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the 93rd Grey Cup this year I believe. They used the yards back then, and up until the 60's everything was imperial in Canada. Therefore, why change the units on a football field to meters?

And the Doug Flutie comparison goes like this:

The NFL isn't as much of a passing game and wide open game as the CFL is. Thus the quarterback in the CFL is much more important and responsible for how the team does, than in the NFL. Players are also smaller here, and half of every team is Canadian. The games are very different. You couldn't have a game between a CFL team and an NFL team. And I just got my credit card bill. dance:

Oh and one last thing:

Something that really pisses me off is that in the states they'll never hear ANYTHING about the CFL or other all Canadian Sports until something bad happens.

Even USA Today has to pick up the story.

When was the last time you heard USA today run a story on the CFL? Normally when i'm in the states and want to check the CFL scores I have to wait a week after the game for them to put them in the paper and their on the last page in a little box.

Same with hockey. Only time the US ever hears about Hockey is when Bertuzzi hits Steve Moore from behind.

And a little Danny Barret for ya:

Sgt>Stackem 11-17-2004 09:04 AM
