Why is it such a big deal? And I never said he was homophobic, I simply asked.

He said it was the first movie he ever walked out of, and it was because of a gay scene. If thats not leaning towards homophobia, well then what is it? He's obviously not a violenceophobia or swearophobia because he sat through movies with that in them.

Most people around our age are desensitised to violence and curse words in television and films because it's all over the place - But I don't think I've ever seen a movie with two dudes going at it in it, let alone 3, I mean - I'd probably walk out too if it was over the top.

Doesn't make me a homophobe - Just means I'm not comfortable with watching male threesomes.

What a load of shit. I've grown tired of people preaching tolerance and acceptance... If I don't like someone or their behavior, I'm entitled to my own opinions about them and what they are doing. Only if I take a negative action based upon these opinions should I be punished or chastised.

In the spirit of diversity, I'm happy to tolerate and more importantly respect anyone or any group of people who are different than me. However, I should not be forcibly subjected to ridicule for my distaste for them. In other words, tolerating someone or something is very much different than partaking and approving. You shouldn’t criticize this guy because he walked out of a movie; until he gets in his 87 Chevy monster truck and runs down some homos he hasn’t done anything wrong or unreasonable.

i see nothing wrong with being gay just dont like it when 2 men do each other in front of me, they can be as gay as they want as long as i cant see.

All i'm saying is the movie isn't gay porn, and i don't think its that big a deal to sit through it.

Have you seen it deud? I haven't.....But i've heard from numerous sources that it comes pretty damn close at times to being a gay pr0no.

I respect oliver stone for doing something so controversial, and also realistic. Alexander was believed to be a homo, most directors wouldnt have brought that up and instead have him mister bad ass hetero. BUT, i dont want to see dudes going at it. And i too would probably walk out, then come back a few mins later when the scene was done

ninty 12-09-2004 04:09 PM

yeah well i haven't seen it so i'll stop talking now.

I blame the destruction of the family unit.
