It was good, but the commercials lead you to believe that this as supposed to be based on real occurences. It has nothing to do with any one real example, but it has the formula of a lame movie.
man has a happy family. wife dies tragically. hes depressed and unable to cope. a mystery man comes and tells him that she has been contacting him from the dead. batman gets interested to EVP. the story was lame, but the whole movie has you waiting for something scarry to happen. people were screaming, laughing and hiding when i saw it, and yes there are several parts where you cover your face. it was good entertainment value, but i wouldnt buy it on dvd. its good for a night out with a girl. |
happy: look at the banner at the top of this thread.

[spoilers]
Wasn't worth the free passes I used to get in. I love Keaton but the movie was a mess, the writers couldn't decide where they wanted to go with it. It starts out like a generic ghost movie but then it all goes to shit once Keaton's character starts helping people that for some reason can reach out to him through his dead wife. Nothing is never really explained and the ending is predictable, and it seemed like the writers didn't know how to end the movie so they threw in a bad guy who apparently listens to white noise too and works with bad ghosts. |

[spoilers] that was pretty stupid how they had that guy who we only saw once end up being the bad guy. and the whole murder thing wasnt really a big thing until the end. ill give it a 3 / 5. just cause i like EVP stuff.

Ok I went to see it last night...a quick question... is that real way to pick up messages from the dead? To record over a blank tape then play it back?
