I think the Bruins' goal is actually to get to the playoffs and lose to Montreal no matter how much better than them we are.

It's over, folks.

Fuck it all.

Sgt>Stackem 02-16-2005 11:25 AM

that really sucks. I knew it was going to happen but it feels different now that it has happened. I do miss hockey, I refuse to wacth basketball. Oh well, good thing I just picked up UO, FarCry and HalfLife2

Cancelled because of what? Pay disputes?

Basically, yeah. The collective bargaining agreement ran out and they couldn't renegotiate a new deal.

It all boils own to money.

NHL Owners want a salary cap. NHL Players don't.

That changed 2 nights ago where they agreed on a cap, but they couldn't decide on a number.

======

I was really wishing last night that the deal would go through. I went out and played some real hockey last night also. I guess i'll have to stick with that.

It is really sad though that an entire season has to be canceled over a fucking dispute. Idiots can't negotiate. Everybody wants things, but won't give anything up on either side.

NHL in the southern US is done. I wouldn't be suprised if a bunch of teams folded.

Real hockey:

Maybe that's one good thing that'll come out of this. Teams like Carolina and Nashville will fold like origami and the talent pool will be a little less diluted.

I just hope other small market teams won't go down too (like my beloved Oilers). That would suck cock.

Duke_of_Ray 02-16-2005 12:24 PM

At least I don't have to fear flipping channels and seeing hockey on now. I am glad I hate hockey, or this just might make me mad.
